About FDP
Research has become an integral part of our pedagogy. It is ‘the’ determinant of
the development and upward mobility of the society. Research in higher education in
humanities has contributed in the form of policies, recommendations of committees
and commissions which have brought phenomenal change in the society. It has
unravelled the knowledge systems of immense socio, political, cultural and economic
significance. It is a career and livelihood; it is also a key to understand, analyse and
adapt to the changing socio-economic, political and cultural environment.
Research has always faced challenges in the forms of uncontrollable variables,
human tendencies, institutional limitations, problems with the methodologies, lack of
alternatives and also many internal and external factors of individual and society.
This FDP aims to address these issues and act as guiding principles to engage in
meaningful research. It aims to introduce new domains and methods to add an edge
of significance in terms of epistemology in particular and betterment of the society in
general. It emphasis on the problems of existing methodologies and searches for
alternatives; it helps to revisit different areas to re-examine the perceived theoretical
notions. Thus it aids in teaching and understanding of the society... as research is
ultimately an outlook, attitude, and passion.
