Procedure:

Face Shield Making

1. Prepare the materials.
2. Cut the colored paper using scissors with the length 12 inches and width 4 cm.
3. Fold it lengthwise and put double sided tape in each side and stick it at the top
part of the plastic cover.
4. Then cut the folder into 3 strips, length is up to you, stick it in each side and bottom
of the plastic cover using double sided tape. It will serve as a makeshift frame
(the length of your face shield is up to you as long as it covers and protects your
face).
5. Cut the Styrofoam using scissors with the same measurements of colored paper
and use double sided tape to stick it at the top of your face shield. It will make
space between the face shield and your face so that you can see properly.
6. Cut the garter belt into strips. Use glue gun with glue stick to seal it at the top
corner of the face shield.
7. You can now put on your face shield and adjust it to your head.
Face Mask Making
1. Prepare the materials.
2. Cut the cloth using scissors (the length of your face mask is up to you as long as
it covers and protects your face). You can base the measurement using tape
measure in surgical mask which have 16 ½ cm. length and 8 ½ cm. width.
3. Use pen to mark the measurements.
4. Cut the garter belt into two strips.
5. Sew the strips in each corner of the face mask using thread and needle.
6. You can now put on your face mask.

We all know that this pandemic is dangerous, which is why wearing a face
mask and wearing a face shield is critical for our health and safety. As a result, a
home-based initiative takes shape.
As a BS industrial engineering student, particularly the female were task to
make face shield and face mask.
I had problems figuring out how to create the face shield at first because I live
on an island where some supplies, such as the plastic needed to make the face
shield, are unavailable, unlike in the city. Then an idea occurred to me. I made
a shield out of the plastic case and framed it with colorful paper and a folder.
The face mask is equally simple to make if you have a guide.
Above all, I enjoyed working on the project, despite the fact that you can see
in my video that I have a serious expression on my face. It's just that I'm focused
on completing my task.

The preceding comment refers to my experience in creating a home-based

project. I edited my film of a home-based project today, June 26, 2021, and
included four persons who watched my video. Basically, it's a better version of
the last one because I asked certain questions and my audience answered
them, which was required for the video interview. Questions related to the videos
are: What do you think is the essence of the video; what do u think is the
advantage of knowing how to make an alternative facemask and face shield;
and why do we need to wear face shield aside from the mask?
In summary, I was pleased to have participated in this activity since it allowed
me to not only share some of my knowledge and skills with my friends, but it also
allowed me to check in on them and learn about their current lives.
