Schedule II : Intake Tubewells and Submerscible Pumps

including boring/ drilling in all type of soils, pebbles, gravels, rocks with appropriate rigs
and appropriate bit type and size, and collecting sample of soil at every 3.0 m depth or
wherever there is a change of strata in sample boxes with the distinguishing marks
including arranging and carriage of necessary boring materials / tools / bentonite etc.,

Designing, Providing, erecting, testing and commissioning of submersible pump set of

required discharge and head as per approved design, conforming to IS 8034 and motor
conforming to IS 9283, with water proof winding. Pump shall be suitable for various
delivery head and discharge with stainless steel shaft. Motor suitable for working on 415 V
± 10%, 3 Ph, 50 Hz A.C. Supply, with cable guard, thrust carbon/fiber bearing to withstand
entire hydraulic thrust.
II-2 The pump set shall be suitable for direct coupling, with suitable suction strainer. Pump No. 25
should have suitable discharge out let as per manufacturer's design,control panel,
submersible copper conductor cable in single / double run upto Panel and 2 pairs of

Preamble to Price Schedule

1. Scope
1.1. The Contract is a single point responsibility turnkey Contract design and
construction raw water intake tubewells, raw water pumps, raw water transmission
main to WTP, water treatment, clear water rising main, elevated service reservoirs,
distribution network, house connections with meters, instrumentation &SCADA
system, including all allied works, for the Nagaon Town Water Supply Project under
AMRUT, in the stipulated quantities and of the stipulated quality, including but not
limited to design, manufacture, procurement and subcontracting (if any), delivery,
construction, installation and testing of the facilities, commissioning, as well as
operation and maintenance of the facilities for the specified period, all in accordance
with the general philosophy delineated in the General Requirements. All works
essential to arrive to the goal are part of the contract. The specifications and the
price schedules endeavor to cover all the essential features of the Contract.
However, if any items are missing and have not been included in the schedules and
are essential for satisfactory completion of the Works and their subsequent
operation and maintenance, such work will be deemed to have been included as a
part of the Contract Price under the prices quoted for other items.
1.2. The Bidder is required to acquaint himself about the site conditions, access to the
Site, and availability of sites for his constructional plant and equipment. The
successful bidder will be required to provide suitable access to the work sites and
arrange for workshop sites, materials storage sites, etc., within the quoted prices.
2. Schedules
2.1 The Schedule of Prices is divided into nine Schedules (Schedules I to IX) for
convenience,.
2.2 The costs for items enumerated in the priced bid schedule shall be filled by the
Bidder based on the technical proposal derived from his preliminary design in
accordance with the requirements specified and intent of the bidding Documents.
Nevertheless, quantities that are provided for the work may be subject to change
during execution of the Contract, and payment will be made for the work actually
executed at the quoted rates. No variation in rates will be considered, irrespective of
whether the estimated quantities increase or decrease during implementation.
2.3 Each item is to be individually priced in ink and no column in the Schedule of Prices
shall be left blank. Any item in the Schedule of Prices which it is not applicable to the
bidder’s proposal should be left unpriced and marked as “NOT APPLICABLE” in the
appropriate location.
2.4 Nomenclature of Items in Schedules:
2.5.1 The prices of various items of works are to be quoted as Lump Sums (LS),
unless otherwise specified, as deemed suitable and as set out in the
Schedules.
2.5.2 Items for which prices are to be quoted on a LS basis are to be carried out
in full as per the details provided in the nomenclature, as specified
elsewhere in the document, and as per normal and good engineering
practice to ensure its completeness and functionality. This will also include
all necessary finishing and site clearance.
2.5.3 The Bidder is advised to examine all instructions, forms, terms,
specifications and other information in the bidding documents and consider

and evaluate fully the price implications therein contained before filling the
lump sum prices.
2.5.4 The schedules do not generally give a full description of the plant and
equipment to be supplied and the services to be performed under each
item. Bidders shall be deemed to have read the Section V – Works
Requirements (Employer’s Requirements and Specification and Drawing);
and other sections of the bidding documents and reviewed the drawings to
ascertain the full scope of the requirements included in each item prior to
filling in the rates and prices.
2.5.5 Any minor items that are not specifically mentioned in the schedule or
specifications, but which are required to be carried out for satisfactory
completion of the item as per good engineering practice, shall be deemed
to form a part of the scope of relevant item. The bid prices shall be
deemed to include for the full scope as aforesaid, including overheads and
profit.
2.5.6 Sundry and miscellaneous works are required to be done to complete the
work under any particular schedule or part thereof. The Bidder is required
to include the costs of all such work in his bid prices for the relevant items
(s), and the Employer will not be liable for any additional costs that may be
incurred for satisfactory completion of the work.
2.5.7 In order to facilities progress payments, the Lump Sum items may be split
into further sub-heads during execution, with appropriate prices assigned
to each of the sub-heads so that their total equals the agreed price. The
successful bidder will have to make the proposal during or before the initial
stage of starting the relevant work, and the cost breakdown will be
applicable after approval of the employer’s Representative.
2.5.8 The Bidder is advised to cover all taxes and duties applicable under the
taxes and duties, as applicable as on the date of submission of bid. For all
other prices, where a break up is not asked, the rates shall include all
taxes and duties, etc., that may have to be borne by the successful bidder.
2.5.9 Bidder’s quoted price, inclusive of all taxes and duties, after arithmetic
corrections (if any), shall be considered for evaluation purpose and award
of the contract.
2.5.10 The Bidder shall be deemed to have included in his bid prices provisions
for all things necessary for completing the item in accordance with the
specifications and terms of the bidding documents, including but not
limited to site clearance, maintenance, provisions and removal of the
temporary works of whatsoever nature required for construction including
temporary accesses, diverting water, pumping, dewatering, etc., and site
restoration and cleanup upon completion. The prices shall also be deemed
to include any works and setting out that may be required to be carried out
for laying out of all the works involved, liaison with the State Electricity
Board and other Government/Regulatory bodies for obtaining
clearances/approval, and co-ordination among various Government /
Regulatory bodies.
3. Measurements
3.1 Measurement for the various items of works will be carried out as per the stipulations
in Section V, Employer’s Requirement, CPHEEO Manual on water supply and
treatment latest edition, BIS, and standard engineering practices.
