4-4. Remote Contact Check
This check is available only on units with remote contacts (option). You can check if the unit recognizes the remote contact input
status (short/open) correctly. Short or open each remote contact terminal and check the input status ON/OFF on the display.
1. Operation procedure
(1) Select check item
Pressing the key changes check item. Select .
(2) Check input signal
When the key is pressed while all remote contact terminals are OFF, is displayed. Then
turn ON (short) each remote contact terminal to see how the display changes. When the ON/OFF status is
recognized correctly, the display value will change depending on the remote contact terminal number.
(3) Complete check
When the above check is completed, press the key.

5. Scale Adjustment
When you perform a trace printing (dot printing) position adjustment only, refer to “5-2. Zero and Span Adjustment for
Trace Printing”.
1. Preparation
(1) Turn OFF the power switch and perform the wiring depending on the input signal (see figure below).
Connect to the input terminal of the check target channel.
(2) Attach the terminal cover.
(3) Turn ON the power switch and change to [Continuous indication mode]. For details of [Continuous indication
mode], refer to “9. Continuous Indication Mode” in instruction manual “General”.
(4) Display the check target channel.
(5) Energize the unit for at least 30 minutes (an hour or more is ideal) and then perform checking.
- 12 -
2. How to check
(1) Set a tester (standard DC voltage generator or precision variable resistor) to an input value equivalent to the
check target value.
(2) At this time, read the digital display and check if the error is within the specified accuracy range.
(3) Next, change to the check target channel and check it likewise.
(4) Check also the analog indication/dot printing position.
* The accuracy of the unit is rated at an ambient temperature of 23°C ±2°C. Ensure safety of the surrounding
environment.
* When you changed the wiring with the terminal cover removed, energize the unit for at least 30 minutes
after attaching the terminal cover and then perform checking.

5-3. Zero and Span Adjustment for Digital Recording
When the rated accuracy still cannot be achieved after performing the scale check, perform a channel-by-channel
adjustment. This adjustment does not affect analog indication/trace printing position.
1. Adjustment procedure
(1) Preparation
1) Connect a tester (standard DC voltage generator or precision variable resistor) to an adjustment target
channel number.
