Valagro is a leading company in the production and marketing of bio-stimulants and fertilizers, with 12
subsidiaries located throughout the world. In addition to its production site in Atessa, Italy, the
company has two other active production facilities in Norway, 2 in India and 1 in Brazil . Today Valagro
operates in two business areas:
 Farm for agriculture;
 Industrials for the local and international industry.
Sri Biotech Laboratories India Ltd (Valagro BioSciences) is a biotechnology company that develops
various biotechnology products and technologies. The company provides field crops and vegetables. It
also offers biological, organic and inorganic products. Sri Biotech’s products include plant bio
stimulants, biocontrol, micronutrients, water soluble nutrition, fertilizer, phosphate solubilizer,
organic soil conditioner, bio stimulant and potassium mobiliser. The company conducts research in
the areas of crop improvement, crop nutrition and crop protection. Its products controls seed borne,
airborne and soil borne diseases caused by bacteria and fungi. The company markets its products
through its distributes throughout India. Sri Biotech is headquartered in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

History-

The story of Valagro began in the 1980s with a distinctive value: the incessant search for innovation,
respecting nature and ethics. These are the qualities that enabled the company to establish itself
successfully in the Italian market du ring the eighties, following a successful path to consolidate its
presence in a growing number of countries around the world. During the 1990s, professionalism,
customer-orientation and innovation allowed Valagro to launch itself on the European market and affirm
its presence in the Far East and South America and then in the United States.

Valagro Global Expansion-

 The new millennium opens with an industrial diversification process made possible by significant
acquisitions initially involving the bio-nutrients of the American Nutrecology, specialising in fertilizers
and extracts from the Norwegian Algea and Nordtang seaweed.
 Valagro acquires the English company Maxicrop, along with its subsidiaries in Australia and New
Zealand, and the French company Samabiol.
 In 2015, with the acquisition of the Indian bio pesticide company Sri Biotech Laboratories India
Limited (today Valagro BioSciences), Valagro enters the new market segment of bio pesticides and new
technologies, such as fermentation, enhancing its presence in the Asian subcontinent and affirming its
status as global company in the field of biologicals.

 These are the stages that accompany the consolidation of a distribution network that spreads
across more than 80 countries, where Valagro is now present with a high-level offer certified by the
highest international authorities.

Product farm-
 Plant Bio stimulants-
 VALAGRO bio stimulants give farmers a line of products with active ingredients of purely natural
origin, which stimulate the main physiological processes of the plant while promoting their growth
and productivity.
 Bio stimulant as “a substance or micro-organism that, when applied to seeds, plants, or the
rhizosphere, stimulates natural processes to enhance or benefit nutrient uptake, nutrient efficiency,
tolerance to abiotic stress, or crop quality and yield.”

 For many years bio stimulant-type materials were considered to be “snake oils,” and skepticism
regarding their positive effects on plant growth persists. However, a large number of scientific
studies have shown that many crop systems, particularly row crops and cereals, respond to these
materials with higher productivity and improved tolerance to diseases and other biotic and abiotic
stresses (Calvo et al., 2014).
 Other positive effects include improvement of water and nutrient uptake, improvement of
water and nutrient use efficiency, improvement of root architecture and lateral root growth, and
induction of systemic resistance
How do bio stimulants differ from other technical agricultural products? 
The bio stimulants act through different mechanisms than fertilizers, regardless of the presence of
nutrients in the products. In addition, bio stimulants are distinguished from agrochemicals because
they only influence the vigor of plants and have no direct action against pests or diseases. Bio-
stimulation of plants is therefore complementary to the use of fertilizers and crop protection
products.

BENEFIT® PZ is a natural product designed to enhance and standardize the size of the fruits.
BENEFIT® PZ, when applied during flowering-fruit setting, it stimulates cell division and the
consequent increase in the number of cells present in each fruit. Following the absorption of water
and the normal metabolic activity of plants, a greater number of cells can then relax and stretch so
as to have greater size, bringing the fruit into more profitable, higher caliber classes. BENEFIT® PZ is
recommended for both fruit crops (drupaceous, kiwi) and for horticultural crops with fruits

 (watermelon, melon, squash, cucumber, etc.). BENEFIT® PZ contains nucleic acids, vitamins,
proteins and free amino acids.
 It increases fruit size and improves uniformity, increasing fruit class fruit caliber classes.
 It does not alter the consistency and shelf life of the fruits longevity of the fruits.

5. Mc Cream-Global-
MC CREAM* is a cream with a high concentration of active phyto-ingredients including betaines
and amino acids. The active phyto-ingredients stimulate plant growth by increasing metabolic
activity and photosynthesis. Increases photosynthetic and vegetative activities.

6. Radifarm-(Promotes root growth)

RADIFARM® is designed for application during transplanting and / or in the early stages of
development of the various crops. The product not only nourishes the plants in their early stages,
but also promotes the formation of an extensive root system by speeding up the elongation of
lateral roots and producing more adventitious roots. RADIFARM® guarantees optimal roots for
seedlings and a rapid end to transplantation crisis, even under unfavorable temperature and
humidity conditions.

7. MC Extra-
MC EXTRA is a readily and totally soluble concentrate based on active phyto-ingredients including
betaines, proteins and amino acids. These components, extracted from algae of the genus
Ascophyllum nodosum, are carefully processed and combined to ensure a quantitative increase in
production while maintaining optimal, balanced production.

8. Sweet
SWEET® promotes the sugar production and accelerates the biochemical processes of ripening,
thanks to the content of calcium, magnesium, trace elements and specific polysaccharides. SWEET®
therefore produces an increase in the sugar content of the dry fruits and a reduction of unripen
waste in the harvest. It is particularly indicated for all cases of high production, in climatic conditions
unfavorable to the ripening process, and for improving production quality (° Brix, texture). In
floriculture, it increases the brightness and, for cut flowers, post-harvest shelf life. To have a
synergistic effect, we recommend using in combination with MEGAFOL

9. MC Set-
MC SET is a formulation based on active phyto-ingredients, including betaine and amino acids. It is
enriched with boron and zinc chelate to give the product its ability to stimulate the processes of
flowering and fruit setting.

10. Viva-
VIVA® contains: polysaccharides, proteins, polypeptides, amino acids, humic acids, hormone
precursors and vitamin complexes. VIVA® acts mainly on the rhizosphere (due to the effect of humic
acids and polysaccharides), improving both the developing root's environment and the plant's root
system. Moreover, treated plants show increased fruit setting and good uniformity in ripening and
fruit size.

11. HEIKO Root-

Increase root growth and support stronger and faster vegetative development.

 Micronutrients –
Valagro has created a line of specific formulations of rapidly absorbed nutrients with low
environmental impact, to provide plant organisms with all the elements they need to grow healthy
and strong. Beyond the basic three essential nutrients, Nitrogen, Phosphorous and Potassium (NPK),
other requirements for plant growth and soil health are the secondary nutrients (S, Ca, and Mg) and
also micronutrients, which include iron, manganese, zinc, boron, molybdenum and copper. These
secondary micronutrients are commercially available for agricultural application in many forms,
including as enhancements to commodity forms of N, P and K fertilizers. Homogenous, granular
micronutrient compounds are also produced and used either in direct application or as relatively
minor components of bulk NPK blends. Secondary nutrients, especially sulfur, are often supplied in
prilled or pastillated form. High magnesium and calcium analysis products are also commercially
available in granular form.

2. Boroplus-
This boron complex contains an organic molecule and is a liquid formulation, allowing a perfectly
uniform distribution of the product, both for foliar application and fertigation. With this formulation,
the risk of phytotoxicity associated with the use of boron is significantly reduced.
The use of BOROPLUS allows:
 Improved fruiting and prevention of vine Millerand age;
 Prevention and treatment of "heart rot" in sugar beet;
 Prevents cracking of celery edges;
 Increases the fruiting of olive trees;

facilities, Valagro is capable of producing metals chelated with EDDHA and EDDHSA of high quality
that are the basis of the formulations of our FERRILENE® line. FERRILENE TRIUM® is the latest
technological innovation within the line: the result of research and development, marking a turning
point in the treatment of iron chlorosis through a multi-strategy approach.

4. Calbit C-
CALBIT C is a nutritional supplement based on calcium complexed with LSA. CALBIT C is indicated
for the prevention and treatment of:
 Bitter pockmarks in apples;
 Apical rot of tomatoes;
 Rot (bruising) of peppers;
 Desiccation of melon leaves;
 Desiccation (tip burn) of lettuce, endives and escaroles,
 Cherry cracking of cherries, peaches, nectarines and plums.
Treatments with CALBIT C lead to increased fruit firmness and, consequently, longer shelf life.
CALBIT C is ideal for applying calcium fertigation due to the presence of LSA complex that protects
the same from insolubilisation reactions (LSA-Calcium complex is stable at pH between 3 and 6.5).
If applied to the leaves, CALBIT C is not phytotoxic and does not cause russeting on the fruit
susceptible to such physiological disorders (e.g.pome fruits fruits).

5. Valagro EDTA-
The presence of trace elements in chelated form and the soluble micro-granules form-factor, make
VALAGRO EDTA products ideal for the prevention and treatment of micro deficiencies. The
VALAGRO EDTA line offers solutions for single deficiencies or multiple micro nutritional
deficiencies. Full line of chelated EDTA microelements in either single or mixed forms for the
treatment and prevention of microdeficiencies.This product is not available in the United States.

 Water Soluble Nutrition-
Water soluble nutritional products are mineral formulated realized with high concentration of raw
materials without any phytotoxic impurities. The WSN lines, specific for both fertigation and foliar
application, offer a wide range of solutions for different nutritional needs and phonological phases,
consisting of microcrystalline NPK formulations. These fertilizers are completed with microelements in
chelated form and characterized of total and immediate solubility .

1. Master Line-
The line MASTER® is a full line of water-soluble microcrystalline formulations that are fully and
instantly soluble, suitable for all fertigation systems and all types of water thanks to their acid

free of sodium, chloride and carbonates and contains indispensable trace elements for the attainment
of optimum cultivation results. Thanks to the different colors of each MASTER® product, the solution
acts as a tracer.

2. Plantafol Line
The PLANTAFOL® line consists of foliar fertilizers with high solubility and rapid and complete

nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in order to: help and support the vegetative and productive

1. Control DMP-
CONTROL DMP is a fertilizer with an acidifying and surfactant action. The pH value obtained can be
easily determined, comparing the color of the solution with that of the color scale printed on the
label. CONTROL DMP lowers the surface tension, facilitating the penetration of the solution in
plants. CONTROL DMP acts as a dispersant and helps makes other mixtures of products more
compatible.

 It acidifies the irrigation water and shows the ph level reached.

 It eases penetration of solutions into the leaves.
 It provides nitrogen and phosphorus immediately available for the plants.
 Bio fertilizers-
Valagro bio fertilizers are solutions containing living microorganisms which, when applied to seed or
soil, increase the supply or availability of primary nutrients to the plant.
A bio fertilizer (also bio-fertilizer) is a substance which contains living micro-organisms which, when
applied to seeds, plant surfaces, or soil, colonize the rhizosphere or the interior of the plant and
promotes growth by increasing the supply or availability of primary nutrients to the host plant. Bio
fertilizers add nutrients through the natural processes of nitrogen fixation, solubilizing phosphorus,
and stimulating plant growth through the synthesis of growth-promoting substances, currently
product portfolio in this segment is not available.

A complete line of EDTA chelated micronutrients in single or mixed formulations, highly soluble .
EDTA (Ethylenediaminetetraacetic Acid) is a versatile chelating agent. It can form four or six bonds
with a metal ion, and it forms chelates with both transition-metal ions and main-group
ions. EDTA is frequently used in soaps and detergents, because it forms complexes with calcium
and magnesium ions.

Dalt Mn-(Manganese chelated with EDTA)-
DALT Mn is Manganese chelated with EDTA in soluble micro granules. Thanks to its percentage of

LSA MIX 5 is a solid mixture of Boron (B), Copper (Cu), Iron (Fe), Manganese (Mn), Molybdenum

The best Iron chelated with EDDHSA. EDDHSA chelates are very stable and can ensure the
availability of micro nutrients even in conditions of high ph, EDDHA or ethylene diamine-N, N′-bis
are a chelating agent. Like EDTA, it binds metal ions as a hex dentate ligand, using two amines, two
phenols ate centers, and two carboxylates as the six binding sites. The complexes are typically
anionic. The ligand itself is a white, water soluble powder.

Manufacturing Plant in India-
The project to revamp the hydro soluble plant at the Indian site in Pashamylaram began in May
2017 with the process design phase, and ended in March 2018 with the start-up of the plant and the
first production of NPK (Master line). The project’s main interventions, which involved restoring and
modernizing an existing production line, were:
 Extraordinary maintenance of recovery equipment
 The process design of new equipment and machines to replace existing ones or to supplement
the line
 The process design of the drive scheme, instrumentation and automation
 Construction of surrounding civil works;
 Design of the new dust suppression system
 Procurement, installation, start-up.
The line has a capacity of 6000 t/year, and is divided into 3 main sections: mixing, packaging and
dust suppression.

shed, free from micro-dust, with a significant positive impact for line workers and the external
