DAY 1: CITY AND CU CHI TUNNELS FULL DAY TRIP (L,D)

Highlights:
Get to know the history of Ho Chi Minh City, visit the most famous sites and make your own
way to the Cu Chi tunnels located 70 km from the Ho Chi Minh City Center to the Northwest
which known as a legendary for its network of tunnels, and is a popular destination for both
Vietnamese and foreign visitors.

Itinerary:
08:00 Tour guide will pick you up at the hotel. Take the morning trip to visit Independence Palace,
also known at the Reunification palace, was built on the sight of the former Norodom palace.
The Independence palace is a widely known landmark of Ho Chi Minh City and was designed
by the architect Ngo Viet Thu. Continue seeing the beautiful structures from the French
Colonial times such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office. Followed
 by the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum the museum has a vast display of the
both the Indochina wars.
12:00 Have lunch at local restaurant.
Depart for Cu Chi tunnel, the trip will take approximately one and a half hours bus driving.
Upon arrival, before exploring the tunnels, you will have some short introduction followed by
introductory video about how the tunnels were constructed and how the people survived in the
harsh conditions of the war time. Then, spend your time to explore the remaining area and
tunnel systems which included the special constructed living areas with kitchens, bedrooms side
by side with other martial facilities like storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and
command centers helping whoever lives inside the tunnels meet their basic needs. Besides, there
are also many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels for security
purpose during the war. Afterward, special tea and cassava (guerilla’s food during the war) will
be served.
Break time for relax or time for those who want to try the real shooting gun. Return to Saigon
18:00 Have dinner at the restaurant. Then, the driver will transfer you to the hotel for relaxing.
DAY 2: HCM CITY – MY THO – BEN TRE – CAN THO (B,L,D)
Highlight:
A trip to Mekong Delta to immerse yourself in the natural beauty and the rich culture of the
vibrant southern Delta region. Boating down the river to experience the local life, fishing port,
fishing floating house, enjoy the local folk song music and seasonal fresh fruit; explore the local
floating market at its nicest time and most exciting of the day.
Brief Itinerary:
08:00 Tour guide will pick you up at the hotel and start the trip to My Tho. Upon arrival, visit Vinh
Trang pagoda which sated back to the late 19th century. Then boarding the sampan and cruising
around four beautiful islands known as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise islands.
Stop over at Unicorn Island, go walking in the village paths to contemplate orchards, enjoy
tropical fruits, and Vietnamese folk music performed by the local people. Visit the fruit
plantation. Be rowed in a small sampan through the Thoi Son canal and treat yourself to the
 beauty of the countryside, visit the family business & bee-keeping farm, enjoy honey tea and
coconut candy workshop.
12:00 Have lunch at the local restaurant. Break time.
The afternoon is time for cycling around the Tan Thach village, meeting the local people to
experience their daily life in the Mekong delta. Relaxing on hammocks to enjoy the cool breeze
is for those do not want to join the cycling trip. Proceed to Can Tho. Your leisure.
17:00 Have Dinner at the restaurant and overnight in Can Tho. (centrally located hotel).
DAY 3: CAN THO – CAI RANG FLOATING MARKET – CHAU DOC CITY (B,L,D)
06:00 Buffet breakfast at the hotel in early morning. Take a leisure boat trip to explore the picturesque
tributaries of the Lower Mekong River (Bassac River) then visit to Cai Rang floating market
which is the liveliest one in the whole of region.
Walking trip to visit the fruit plantation and local noodle factory.
Visit Binh Thuy communal house and Munir Ansay Pagoda - a Khmer pagoda, renowned for its
unique structure.
12:00 Have lunch at the restaurant After lunch, proceed to Chau Doc, continue the tour to visit Tra Su
forest, which known as the wild bird scantuary, cruising smoothly with a sampan to discover the
arrays of splendid canals deep into the forest, watching stork, cranes and other tropical birds. Back to
the town and stop by to visit Sam Mountain and Cave Pagoda (if time available). Check in hotel.
18:00 Have dinner at the restaurant. Free time.
DAY 4: CHAU DOC CITY – HO CHI MINH CITY (B,L,D)
08:00 Have buffet breakfast at hotel, visitors then take a nice boat trip through the floating village to visit a
fish farm, see how the Mekong Delta people raise fish in their floating houses. Visit the Cham
minority people with their traditional weaving village, followed by a locak Islam Mosque. Comeback
Ho Chi Minh city. On the way, stop for lunch at the restaurant.
17:00 Arrived HCM City. Have dinner at the restaurant. Check in the hotel. Free time.
DAY 5: CAN GIO MANGROVE FOREST (B,L,D)
Highlight:
• Active trip to Can Gio Mangrove Biosphere Reserve by boat
 • Swinging & chattering long-tailed monkeys in mangrove forest

• Fascinating visit to Rung Sac, former guerilla military base

• Delicious lunch featuring southern Vietnamese specialties

Brief Itinerary:
08:00 Tour guide will pick you up at the hotel. Escape the bustle of Ho Chi Minh City as you head south
to the mangrove forests and winding waterways of the Can Gio Mangrove Biosphere Reserve. Scope
out clambering monkeys in treetop perches, visit a former military base from the Vietnam War, and
enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.
Meet up with your guide directly outside your Ho Chi Minh City hotel and hop aboard
comfortable transportation for the 37-mile (60-km) ride to Can Gio. Start your day scoping out
the powerful jaws and lightning-fast tails of toothy crocodiles, and then jump in a nimble speed
boat to cruise into the park's dense mangrove forests for up-close looks at long-tailed monkeys.
Share treats and take pictures with your banana-loving friends and then follow your guide to
Rung Sac, where fighters once trained during the Vietnam War.

12:00 Back on the mainland, grab a table at Phuong Nam Restaurant for a delicious meal featuring
Vietnamese specialties, listening to traditional folk music as you dine. Before you head back to
Ho Chi Minh City and your hotel, stop at a nearby swimming pool for a refreshing dip and
browse for souvenirs as you haggle for bargains at Can Gio Market. Finally, wind down the day
with a convenient ride to the Vietnamese Swiftlet Farming Village. There, you will have a great
chance to taste Vietnamese bird's nest soup, one of the world most expensive food. After that
back to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh.

17:00 Arrived Ho Chi Minh city. Have dinner at the restaurant and comback the hotel. Free time.
