    David R. Naylor

    David R. Naylor was born in Murray, Utah with an uncommon


    interest in music, but did not pursue that interest seriously
    until, as a young teenager in Coalville, Utah, he failed in an attempt
    to earn his Boy Scout music merit badge. Soon thereafter, as an
    act of adolescent defiance, he began composing music for church
    and school.
    David graduated in 1987 with a B.S. degree in Music Education
    from Southern Utah University via Snow College and Brigham Young
    University. He taught school in Fillmore and Tooele, Utah, and
    i n F l o r i d a , a n d h e d i re c t e d t h e L. D. Singers, a touring
    group affiliated with the L.D.S. Institute of Religion in Ephraim.
    Naylor sang with the Salt Lake Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
    He has published works for choir, piano, voice and orchestra.
