INTRODUCTION

Climate change is a long-term change in the average weather patterns that have come

to define Earth's local, regional and global climates. These changes have a broad range of

observed effects that are synonymous with the term. These human-produced temperature

increases are commonly referred to as global warming. The energy crisis is the concern

that the world's demands on the limited natural resources that are used to power industrial

society are diminishing as the demand rises. These natural resources are in limited supply.

“An energy crisis is any significant bottleneck in the supply of energy resources to an

economy.

Global carbon emissions from fossil fuels have significantly increased since 1900.

Since 1970, CO2 emissions have increased by about 90%, with emissions from fossil

fuel combustion and industrial processes contributing about 78% of the total

2|Page
greenhouse gas emissions increase from 1970 to 2011. Agriculture, deforestation,

and other land-use changes have been the second-largest contributors

How is climate change related to energy crisis? Climate change can alter

our energy generation potential and energy needs. For example, changes to the water cycle

have an impact on hydropower, and warmer temperatures increase the energy demand for

cooling in the summer, while decreasing the demand for heating in the winter.

ABSTRACT

Climate change is one of the biggest challenges of our times. Climate change is already

happening the temperatures are rising, drought and wild fires are starting to occur more

frequently, rainfall patterns are shifting, glaciers and snow are melting and the global mean

sea level is rising. To mitigate climate change, we must reduce or prevent the emissions

linked to human activities. One of the most pressing issues of our time, climate

change threatens the lives and livelihoods of billions of people. Natural

disasters, environmental degradation and extreme weather patterns disrupt harvests, deplete

fisheries, erode livelihoods and spur infectious diseases. Climate change includes the long-

term rise in global temperatures, which is referred to as global warming. Increased levels

of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, from human activities such as the burning of fossil

fuels and farming, are to blame. 2-Global warming is a type of climate change that refers to

the rise in global temperatures over time. Increased levels of greenhouse gases in the

atmosphere, primarily from human activities such as burning fossil fuels and farming, are

to blame. 3-Climate change is unavoidable. The best thing that can be done is to slow

things down, which will require global action. As we can see, some countries prioritize

economic benefits over environmental ones, thus these developments will continue at a

similar, if not faster, pace.

APPROACHES

There are responding to climate change involves two possible approaches which are

reducing and stabilizing the levels of heat-trapping greenhouse gases in the

atmosphere (mitigation) and/or adapting to the climate change already in the

pipeline (adaptation). Mitigation, reducing climate change involves reducing the flow of

heat-trapping greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, either by reducing sources of these

gases (for example, the burning of fossil fuels for electricity, heat or transport) or

enhancing the “sinks” that accumulate and store these gases (such as the oceans, forests

and soil). The goal of mitigation is to avoid significant human interference with the climate

system, and “stabilize greenhouse gas levels in a timeframe sufficient to allow ecosystems

to adapt naturally to climate change, ensure that food production is not threatened and to

enable economic development to proceed in a sustainable manner” (from the 2014 report

on Mitigation of Climate Change from the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on

Climate Change, page 4).

Adaptation, adapting to life in a changing climate involves adjusting to actual or expected

future climate. The goal is to reduce our vulnerability to the harmful effects of climate

change (like sea-level encroachment, more intense extreme weather events or food

insecurity). It also encompasses making the most of any potential beneficial opportunities

associated with climate change (for example, longer growing seasons or increased yields in

some regions).

Throughout history, people and societies have adjusted to and coped with changes in

climate and extremes with varying degrees of success. Climate change (drought in

particular) has been at least partly responsible for the rise and fall of civilizations. Earth’s

climate has been relatively stable for the past 12,000 years and this stability has been

crucial for the development of our modern civilization and life as we know it. Modern life

is tailored to the stable climate we have become accustomed to. As our climate changes,

we will have to learn to adapt. The faster the climate changes, the harder it could be.

CONCLUSION

Climate change and global warming refer to an increase in average global temperatures.

Natural events and human activities are believed to be contributing to an increase in

average global temperatures. This is caused by increases in greenhouse gases such as

Carbon Dioxide (CO2). It is being clear that human activities have caused most of the

century’s warming by releasing heat-trapping gases-called greenhouse gases into the

atmosphere.

Climate change is a global and a long time issues that we face our everyday life. And

nothing can say that climate change will disappear so that all we need to do is planting

more trees. We need to care about this thing and we must to do something for earth like we

need to plants trees more than to a buildings, we need to plant foods more than to create a

technology. Humans need to see these pictures so they care about the earth and nature.

Hoping that in next generations like 30 years later, hope that the earth is healed and on

peace. Love the earth and love all the things in earth.
