1)Pwd – prints working directories eg.. root.

2)Ls – lists all directories eg.. downloads, files etc.


3)Cd + name of the directory – navigates into the
directory. Eg.. cd downloads , cd music etc.
4)Cd .. – brings you back from the directory.
Eg… brings you back from downloads to root.
5)man + name of command – tells you how the
command is used. Eg.. man ls etc..
6)name of command + --help – helps and tells you the
use of the command. Eg- ls –help
7)clear- clears the screen of the terminal.
8) arrow buttons – used for using previously used
codes.
9)starting letters of directories + tab button – auto
completes the name of directories.
10)apt-get update – helps you download apps
11)apt-get install + name of app – helps you install
apps
