All praise is due to Allah Jalla-wa-alaa who has blessed us with Imaan and
many many other bounties in the wake of Imaan, which, try as we may we
can never enumerate. Also amongst the greatest of the bounties of Allah
Jalla-wa-alaa upon us is relationship we enjoy with Rasul-e-paak ﷺas
O U

our Rasul and Nabi. Take note that these bounties come our way without any effort
or eligibility on our part. We are indeed fortunate that our Allah Jalla-wa-alaa is
Kareem, that when dispensing favours, He never looks at eligibility or effort. If He
would have then we would not even be worthy of existing.
It is a great favour of Hazrath Moulana Moosa Olgar (D.B.) to ask a sinful person like
myself to write a forward on a very valuable kitaab on Durood and Qasaa'id, which
Moulana has painstakingly, compiled and translated. Any person with the slightest bit
of love for Rasulullah ﷺwill be extremely happy and overjoyed at having a kitaab of
this nature in his possession. The flagship of this compilation is a qasidah compiled by
Hazrath Allaama Anvar Shah Kashmiri ﷼. For the benefit of those who are not familiar
with Hazrath Allaama ﷼should know that he was amongst the greatest of
Muhadditheen (scholars of Hadith) of all times.
Ulema have been in search of this qasidah for a long time, and those who managed
find it could not benefit from it, as it was extremely difficult to translate. It was
Hazrath Moulana Moosa's (D.B.) extreme love for Rasulullah ﷺthat this qasidah
came his way in a manner in which we can comfortably say was miraculous.
While Hazrath Moulana Moosa (O.B.) was in Medina Munawwarah, someone walked
up to him, gave him the kitaab and walked away. All of us who were there with
Hazrath Moulana D.B. were overjoyed and insisted and imposed upon Moulana to
translate it into English and publish it.
Alhamdulillah, Moulana's love for Rasulullah ﷺis of such a nature that he did not
hesitate to translate it for the entire ummah to benefit. We are all aware that recitation
of durood and reciting the praise of Rasulullah in the form of qasaa'id etc., is a definite
means of attaining salvation from all calamities, physical, financial, spiritual, etc.)
All those who get a copy of this kitaab should try, with the permission of Moulana
(D.B.) to publish it and spread it far and wide. A humble appeal to all those who come
in contact with this kitaab should recite it daily even if it be a page or two and
thereby attain salvation for themselves and the ummah, which at this time is going
through most difficult trials and tribulations.
We appeal to the powers that be in the Darul Ulooms to try their utmost to include
as part of the syllabus.
We appeal to parents to recite it at home on the night preceding Jumm’ah. In conclusion we
pray to Allah Jalla-wa-alaa to reward Mouanla (D.B) and to give us the tawfeeq (ability)
to follow Moulana's example of genuine love for Rasulullah ﷺ.

I seek the forgiveness of Allah the Great,
there is no god save He, the Living,
Sustainer of Life, the Forgiver of sins,
the Majestic and Generous. And I turn to
Him in reeentance from all acts of
disobedience, and all sins and offenses.
From every sin that I have committed
intentionally and unintentionally, oeenly
and in secret, in word and deed. In my
every action and my every stillness, my
every thought and my every breath,
always and forever and eternally. From
the sin that I am aware of and the sin
that I am unaware of. To the number of
all things contained in His knowledge,
registered in the Book, written down by
the Pen, and to the number of all that
His omnieotence has created, and His
will chosen, and as much as the ink of
Allah’s words. As it befits the Majesty of
the Face of Allah, and His Beauty and
Perfection, and as our Lord wishes and
as He eleases. (Shaik Ahmad Ibn Idris )
