    Scope of Work: Troubleshoot the loading dock dry system. Compressor is cycling. Customer reports the system
    was already checked for leaks. See the Chief Engineer John Large c. 646-630-2822.

    Description of Work Performed:


    Service to troubleshoot compressor not working properly. Upon arrival system was already on test. Drained
    system to test activation of air compressor. Compressor failed to cut in before hitting 2psi. Replaced pressure
    switch on compressor and re piped compressor trim. Attempted to refill system, compressor did not turn on
    immediately even though system was at 0psi. Compressor turned on after approximately 10 minutes even with
    the system at 0psi. Compressor built air pressure to 8 psi before shutting off. Adjusted pressure switch but
    compressor would not turn on no matter the pressure switch's settings. Drained system back to 0psi. This time
    compressor cut in after about 5 minutes of system sitting at 0psi and built pressure to 10psi. Removed air trim to
    check for potential clogs but none were found. Left compressor on in this time to check operation. Compressor
    did not turn on with the system at 0, even though air trim was dismantled. Replaced air trim. Spoke with Larry to
    find that a temporary compressor has been filling the system and not the riser mounted compressor.
    Recommend replacing air compressor with bigger compressor as the existing compressor has a max output of
    20psi and system calls for 40 - 50 psi as water pressure is at 165psi. Spoke with Larry and John about findings.
    Assisted Larry in refilling system with temporary compressor. System is holding at 55psi. All systems reset and
    back in service at this time.
    Follow-up Required:
    Recommend replacing riser mounted Gast compressor with new compressor. Pictures attached to timesheet.
