I: Article Analysis

- Collect the articles from Newspapers / Magazines


- The articles should be from the area of HRM

- At the end do write GLOSSARY of all the article
- Each group should have 10 articles

II: Job Roles Research

- Identify a particular job in an entity. Preferably you must be able to have


access to the individual doing this job. Now research the job incumbent’s
roles and responsibilities. Submit an assignment covering:
o What methods could be adopted to best understand this job?
o Write the job description for the role.
o Discuss and research the web/literature to draw up a set of atleast 8
competencies required to do this job?
o In your opinion what can be the jobs that this incumbent can aspire

• Alternatively, the cases have been kept in the library for your ease of
reference.
• To solve the case and apply theoretical concepts, study the recommended
pre-reads as well. Pre-reads are available in the course material and in
library

A case study analysis must not merely summarize the case. It should identify key
issues and problems, outline and assess alternative courses of action, and draw
appropriate conclusions. The case study analysis can be broken down into the
following steps:
1. Identify the most important facts surrounding the case.
2. Identify the key issue or issues.
3. Specify alternative courses of action.
4. Evaluate each course of action.
5. Recommend the best course of action.
In case of questions given in the case, those need to be answered as well.

The assignment should be according to the following format:


• Word document file, Cover page including title, second page with group
details, followed by the table of contents, then main project content, later
conclusion, suggestion and bibliography
• Include the case copy in the report as Annexure
• Format: Times new roman, justified alignment, Headings font size 14-18,
main text font size 12 only.
• Submission should consist of both Report and Presentation in hard copy
