    This document provides diagnostic trouble codes F340-F342 for transmission issues in motor graders. Code F340 indicates a system configuration error where the wrong transmission control unit is installed, resulting in the engine only running at its lowest torque curve. Code F341 means there is a loss of power to the hydrostatic forward drive controller, which could be caused by a blown fuse. Code F342 means there is no communication from the engine controller, again resulting in only the lowest torque curve being available, which could be caused by a loss of CAN communication at either the engine or transmission control unit.     Loss of communication between electronic controllers or mismatch of TCU with engine controller.

    F340 System Configuration Error Wrong TCU Engine runs at lowest Install correct
    One NOTE: With this condition the engine will only select used possible torque curve. TCU.

    F341 HFWD Controller-No Loss of power to HFWD HFWD- Check F12 HFWD Controller 5 amp
    One communication. Controller OFF fuse.

    Loss of CAN communication Check wires M12 and M13.

    F342 Engine Controller-No communication. Run at lowest


    One time NOTE: With this condition the engine will only select torque curve.
