SCHOOL OF ARTS & SCIENCES

DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WORK

August 9, 2021

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing to give my highest possible recommendation for Dr. Jennifer Good's promotion to
Associate Professor at Brandman University. I have known Dr. Good over the past three years.
Dr. Good was assigned as one of my faculty mentors during the school year 2018/2019, upon my
employment with Brandman University.

As a new faculty member to Brandman University, I was very fortunate to have Dr. Good as a
mentor. Dr. Good scheduled monthly phone meetings with me to discuss my new role, the
culture of Brandman and answer any questions I might have. I truly accredit my success and
adapting to Brandman University is due in part to the mentoring from Dr. Good. She created an
open, comfortable, and confidential environment. As I continue to grow in my role at Brandman,
I am confident that Dr. Good truly encompasses, portrays, and encourages the mission of
Brandman University. Throughout my year of meeting with her monthly, she provided me many
examples and discussions around providing high-quality, flexible, and innovative experiences to
our students. Three years later, I still call upon Dr. Good as a trusted colleague to share ideas and
seek guidance.

This past year, Dr. Good contributed to the School of Arts and Sciences and the overall
university through her service work on Faculty Personnel Committee. She stepped into
leadership roles and participated and contributed to many meetings surrounding the UMASS
Global affiliation shift. Her contributions helped assist in the affiliation shift and represented all
faculty to the highest level.

Dr. Good is an amazing colleague, and I am proud to have her as part of the School of Arts &
Sciences faculty. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at 714.206.0655
or aramir18@brandman.edu.

Sincerely,

Amber J. Ramirez, MSW, LCSW
