    1. Pursuant to the objectives of RA 9155 or “Governance of Basic Education Act of 2001,”


    and in response to the Department’s call to continuously improve management at the
    school level, this Office, through the School Governance and Operations Division, hereby
    announces the designation of the following school SBM Coordinators effective 15 April
    2020 until the end of SY 2020-2021

    2. The School School-Based Management Coordinator (SSBMC) shall have the following
    functions:
    a. Organize, coordinate, document meetings regarding SBM;
    b. Aid school head in recommending SBM related project proposals for approval;
    c. Assist the school head and school planning team in the preparation of SBM artifacts
    for validation.
    d. Prepare report re: SBM Action Plan, Working Plan and Budget;
    e. Conduct periodic and regular monitoring of SBM activities in their respective schools;
    f. Endorse school-level SBM project proposals to Division SBM Coordinator; and
    g. Prepare accomplishment reports on SBM based on approved action plan and budget

    3. The SSBMC shall perform the above functions in addition to their usual duties and
    responsibilities and does not entail extra remuneration.

    4. Kindly address clarification and/or queries relative to the contents of this Memorandum to
    Ms. Matea-Alvyn H. Trinidad, SEPS for Planning, Research and SMME, Division SBM
    Coordinator at (046) 419-8450 to 53 or email at mateaalvyn.trinidad@deped.gov.ph.

    5. Immediate dissemination of and strict compliance to this Memorandum of all concerned


    is hereby directed.
