Compare The Methodology of Simulation To Simon

Simon's four-phase model of decision making (intelligence, design, choice, and implementation) maps directly to the methodology of simulation. The design phase of Simon's model corresponds to building, testing, and verifying simulation models. Running a simulation experiment and evaluating the results corresponds to Simon's optional choice phase. Both approaches include implementation steps to apply the results. Visual simulation, as seen in many computer games, can improve understanding of a virtual environment and provide immediate feedback, similar to Simon's choice phase.

Compare the methodology of simulation to Simon’s four-phase model of decision

making. Does the methodology of simulation map directly into Simon’s model? Explain.

Answer

116786

All Simon models start at a specific stage of the problem called intelligence. Simon's design
phase corresponds to phases 2-4 of the simulation model. That is, the design of experiments
to build, test, and verify models. Running a simulation experiment and evaluating the results
is Simon's optional step. Finally, there are implementation steps on either side.

Many computer games can be considered visual simulation. Explain why

Answer

Many computer games simulate a virtual (realistic or wonderful) environment and the
behavior that occurs in that environment. They use visual representations to show the
progress of the simulation. This improves the understanding of the environment and how the
game plays and often provides immediate feedback on the success or failure of the player's
actions.

Explain why VIS is particularly helpful in implementing recommendations derived by

computers

Answer

Implementation is the process of human transformation. You have to motivate people to

change. When they see its strengths, they are more likely to embrace change. With VIS, you
can see these benefits.
