5. In the face of pandemic (Covid-19), what is the effect of the paradigm shift
in Science and Technology on Society? You may cite specific scenarios
and examples to strengthen your point of view.
- During the pandemic, many workers' work-life balance collapsed.
Employees who are "essential" and "non-essential" have become a
topic of discussion in companies and wider society. Work and family life
collided despite best practices, preferences, and in some cases
practicalities, as many non-essential and even essential people were
required to work from home. Employees were often obliged to figure out
how to perform well at home while dealing with these new expectations,
as well as the additional stress and anxiety brought on by a lack of tools
or training to assist them in making this shift. In furthermore, other
member of their relatives have had to figure out how to survive while
somebody else works part time.
