General Description
A high-grade, high-quality, advanced individual air-conditioning system that is able to respond to expanding,
more sophisticated housing environment needs.
LG Electronics Inc., which has been a top air conditioner maker for the three consecutive years has developed
"Inverter Controlled Multi" system that can efficiently control and air-conditioning in a better environment.
"Inverter Controlled Multi" system have number of indoor units which can be connected to a single outdoor
unit. This system requires less space for installation and cooling at other operations can be controlled individu-
ally in each room.
Unlike traditional multi-type units, it is a next generation multi type air-conditioner designed to be installed under
any circumstance, combining with wall-mounted, ceiling-concealed duct units, as long as it is with in the capaci-
ty of the compressor.
A lot of information regarding the design and the installation of "Inverter Controlled Multi" system is included
in this publication.
We hope that with this information you would become an expert of the "Inverter Controlled Multi" system and
be more comprehensive to the system.

A number of indoor units can be linked to outdoor unit so that each room can be individually air-conditioned.
This can be easily installed in a small external size, and is energy saving since the cooling of each room individ-
ually controlled.

Auxiliary drain hose Thermal insulation(drain pipe area)
■ Important points
- The drain pipe should be at least equal in size to that of the indoor unit drain pipe.
- The drain pipe is thermally insulated to prevent the formation of condensation outside the pipe.
- The drain up mechanism should be fitted before the indoor unit is installed. When the electricity has been
connected some water should be added to the drain pan and check the drain pump to see that it is func-
tioning correctly.
- All connections should be secure.(Special care is needed with PVC pipe)
- Insulate auxiliary drain hose with thermal insulation band.
