    Dear Members,

    A Fund Raiser for H E N K Gajanayake (9622)

    H.E.N.K. Gajanayake (Bank ID: 9622) who joined CBSL as a Management Trainee in 2021 is diagnosed with
    COVID-19 and currently being treated at the quarantine centre established in Hikka Tranz Hotel in
    Hikkaduwa (Operated by Nawaloka Hospitals PLC). He was admitted to the facility on 16th August 2021
    and the estimated date of discharge will be 30th August 2021. Room charge alone for the stay is estimated
    at Rs.15,000 per day and there will be additional expenses such as medical staff, medicine, laboratory
    tests, ambulance etc.

    As you may be already aware, management trainees recruited to CBSL since 2018 are not eligible for
    medical benefits under the CBSL medical scheme during their training period. Hence, the Executive
    Committee of Central Bank Executive Officers' Union (CBEOU) decided to initiate a fund raiser to collect
    contributions from the membership on behalf of Mr. Gajanayake to help him through this difficult time.

    Therefore, you are kindly requested to provide your generous contributions on or before 30.08.2021,
    through the following representatives who will ensure that the collections will be transferred to CBEOU
    bank account which will then be transferred to the patient's bank account.
