    PROJECT PROPOSAL and DESIGN

    I. Project Description
     Project Title : NORSU-SC CD-based Interactive Year Book
     Project Staff : NORSU-SC TN Staff
     Participants : NORSU-SC Graduating Students, Faculty and Staff
     Date of Releasing : 1st week of January
     Duration (Project Making) : 20 weeks
     Location : NORSU-SC

    II. BACKGROUND/SITUATIONAL ANALYSIS


    Graduation day is one of the most awaited events of the year of all the students. It is the
    time in which they have proved to the people that they have survived the four challenging
    years of college life. On the other side, this time also causes them to have pain in their hearts
    because of leaving the institution which molds them to become productive individuals.
    Happy moments, sleepless nights and crying moments with friends are just some of the
    memories that they can bring with them as they leave the institution with honor and degree
    and take up another journey of their life.
    The “The Norsunian” is planning to produce a CD-based Interactive Year Book. This
    project is designed to equip the graduating students with supportive documents which they
    can use for future purposes. Also, this interactive yearbook compiles important events inside
    and outside the campus within SY 2015-2016. This project serves as a conduit for the
    competitive NORSU students to the world. Since some companies requires more than TOR
    and diploma as proof that a person is truly a graduate of NORSU, then this interactive
    yearbook can be used as such. This can also be used by companies as a reference or guide
    when they conduct job searchers.
    Upon designing the project, one of the school’s policies was considered, particularly the
    “no collection policy”. The resources needed for the whole process (pictorial, editing, lay-
    outing) are already available at the TN office. After finishing the whole project by the staff,
    the students who are interested to have a copy of the interactive yearbook may go directly to
    the TN office and bring their own DVD.
    The whole process of making the project covers 20 weeks, including the pictorial, writing
    and checking of articles, draft making, editing and printing.

    III. OBJECTIVES
    1. To provide the students a supportive document that proves they have finished a degree.
    2. To compile all important events for the whole school year inside and outside the campus.
    3. To develop the different skills of the TN staff.
    IV. DESIRED IMPACT AND OUTCOME OF THE PROJECT
    1. Make the The Norsunian-SC as the official publisher of the yearbook for NORSU-SC
    2. Form a screening team that will cater the skilled students outside the TN to be part of the
    staff.
