baptised. Paul Silas were brought to the magistrates, they wiped and then locked them in
jail. They were kept in the inner prison, they started worshipping God, and God sent an

angel to break them out of jail. The jail door swung open, and they were set free, but

before they left the prison, they lead the guard to the Lord.
Paul and Silas came to Thessalonica, and they went to the synagogue of the Jews. Paul
and Silas started preaching to people there, and many of them believed and agreed with

what they were saying. Jason’s House was assaulted, and Paul and Silas travelled to

Berea in the night. They went to the synagogues, they preached to nobles, and they
received the word. But the Jews came and stirred up trouble, and sent them away. Paul

went to Athens, and while he was there the spirit of the Lord stirred him up, and he saw

the city in idolatry. Also, while Paul was there he talks to the men in Athens, telling them
Paul leaves Athens and goes to Corinth, and found a Jew named Aquila, and his wife
Priscilla. They always tried to reason with the Jews and Greeks on Sabbath day. Timothy
and Silas came to meet Paul from Macedonia. Paul left the synagogue and entered the
house of a man named Justus. Paul also met a man named Crispus, who was a ruler of the
synagogue. Crispus and other people believed what Paul said, and were all baptised.

1 Thessalonians Chapter 1:
Paul wrote to Silvanus, Timotheus, and to the Church of Thessalonians given praise to

God. He told them not to forget their work of faith, a labor of love, and patience of hope

power, in the holy spirit. He reminded them that the reason that they became believers,

Paul tells Silas and Timothy to be bold in the Lord, and speak of the gospel with much

men, but God. He also reminds them that their labour and travail, because they would not

1 Thessalonians Chapter 3:
Timothy a minister of God, wrote a letter to comfort and us concerning the faith. He told
us that no man should be moved by afflictions because Jesus told us that we would suffer
afflictions and tribulations. He also tells us that we should not be tempted, and our labour

1 Thessalonians Chapter 5:
Paul tells us that we do not know the day or the hour in which the Lord will come. The
Lord will come like a thief when people say there is peace on earth there will soon be
destruction. Like a mother giving birth to her, they shall not escape. He also warns us
about darkness coming like a thief in the night. He mentions as being children of the
light, and the children of the day, and not us being children of the darkness. He also tells
us not to sleep, as others do, but for us to watch and be sober. He encourages us to put on
the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation.
