Module 1: Learners Behavior

Lesson 1: Learners Social Behavior

APPLICATION

A. As a future teacher how would you establish an environment that

promotes a positive behavioral effect to the learner's teaching-

learning process?

In order to establish an environment that promotes a positive

behavioral effect to the learner’s teaching-learning process, I think

first of all, as a future teacher I must observe well the behavioral and

physical cues that I will be going to display in a room. Secondly, I

must apply the SLT’s four processes namely the attention, retention,

motor reproduction and reinforcement and motivation. Thirdly is to

implement activities and tasks that are capable to exercise and

enhance the students’ engagement through social or peer influence.

Lastly is to act cautiously in relation to the ethical standards on how

to be an effective teacher not just on how to generate academic

knowledge but also on how teach students with behavioral matters.

B. How will you incorporate Social Learning Theory in your future class

as part of the learner's teaching-learning process? Identify and

describe these strategies.

Classroom SLT Learning Plan

SLT strategies
(you can name & create your How to do it?
own)
1. “Peer-Fair-Share”: New 1. The teacher will be going to
Normal Group Discussion divide the class into 5 groups.
(Virtual Setup) 2. Each group is tasked to
create a group chat via
facebook messenger
conveniently provided that all
members have joined.
3. Afterwards, the teacher will
give the passage that is
assigned per group.
4. Via group video/audio call,
the members will be going to
brainstorm and share their
individual opinions regarding
on the passage they read. With
this, no students will ‘play safe’
as if all of them are required to
share their thoughts. Thus,
peer influence is under
monitoring.
5. The brainstorming should be
done within 10 minutes.
6. The answers should be
written through MS Word in
docs form and present it
through google meet.
2. “Attention is in Motion”: 1. The teacher will be going to
Interactive Story Telling ask the students to carefully
(Virtual Setup) listen and watch to the story
he/she will be going to play
virtually.
2. Afterwards, the students will
be tasked to create a chart that
justifies the elements of the
story, specifically the
characters (e.g. naming the
characters, explaining their
deeds, motifs and behaviors,
etc.).
3. The suppletion of task
should be done within 10
minutes.
4. Answers should be written
on MS Word and submit it to
the google classroom.
5. If students have really exert
attention the what the teacher
have story-tell, they can
possibly supply the required
task to them efficiently.
3. “Ready or Not?”: Immediate 1. The class will be divided into
Role Playing (Face-to-Face four groups. Each group will be
Setup) gathered accordingly and form
a circle.
2. The activity will be based on
the literary piece being read
entitled “The Legend of Maria
Makiling”.
3. Each member will choose
one representative to go in
front.
4. The teacher will be going to
write secretly a name of
character on his/her paper and
only representatives are
allowed to see it and they are
tasked to portray the
characters’ actions, behaviors
and characteristics.
5. Afterwards, the remaining
groups will guess what would
be the exact name of the
character. (Note: The first one
to answer will get the points.)
6. Lastly, the remaining
students will be tasked to rate
from 1-10 the accuracy of each
representative on how they act
the characters’ side. In this
activity, honestly is the best
policy.
