     Site/Share a scenario that showcase the relationship of Hospitality and Tourism


    THE FIRST QUESTION THAT COUGHT MY ATTENTION IS
    Let’s start it up by explaining what Hospitality and Tourism are. Hospitality is the friendly and
    generous reception and entertainment of guests, visitors, or foreigners while Tourism is a social,
    cultural, and economic phenomenon that entails the movement of people to countries or places
    outside their usual environment for personal or business/professional purposes. In simple words,
    Hospitality is the business of helping people to feel welcome and relaxed and to enjoy
    themselves and Tourism are activities and industries that create the tourist experience.
    Based on my own experience, the scenario that best illustrates the relationship between
    hospitality and tourism for me would be when we go to Zambales for a short beach vacation. The
    hotel employees greeted us with a warm welcome, showed us to our rooms, and informed us
    about the various activities available. Our trip would be a disaster if it weren't for them, because
    they're the ones who led us to discover and fall in love with the amazing site.
    This illustrates the relationship between hospitality and tourism; hospitality makes us feel the
    warmth and love of the experiences we have while visiting a tourist destination.
     Did the topic of this unit help you to widen your knowledge about hospitality and
    tourism industry?
    This unit's topic helps me in understanding the definition and relationship between the two,
    which is Hospitality and Tourism where I have already explained in the first question. Especially
    to the part that Hospitality and Tourism cannot be separated because tourist needs a place to stay
    in, eat, transportation, and service. In addition, a place that has a great hotel resource attract more
    tourist. Especially those tourism developed areas that have a higher demand for a place to relax
    and stay in. This relationship is important because the more tourists, the more services the
    hospitality industry sells.
     What is the role of tourism and hospitality in the growth of cultural experience in
    the Philippines?
    Tourism plays a big role in our economy. The country's natural beauty is enormous, as seen by
    its numerous beautiful beaches and a perfect tropical place for summer. Furthermore, the
    Philippines' unique and rich culture, as represented by its people, food, and way of life, draws a
    large number of tourists. However, the significance of tourism is found not only in the economic
    benefits it provides but also in the potential for cultural interaction that it offers. Tourists from
    other countries experienced the beautiful festivals, historical places, our wonderful culture, and
    the people of the Philippines. Other than that, it also preserves the culture that we have.
     How might you use what you learned in the future in your life or profession?
    I can apply what I have learned in this lesson for my future profession is keeping in my mind that
    tourism and hospitality jobs are important not only for serving people but also for our economic
    growth. I am looking forward to serving people in the future and travel the world with dignity
    and pride because I believe that we Tourism and Hospitality students and becoming workers are
    also the heroes of our country.
