Almost 3 tons of PET bottles and other recyclables were donated by the RWM League of Volunteer
Employees (LOVE) to Buddhist Compassion Relief Tzu Chi Foundation during Green Day, a company-
wide monthly recycling activity at RWM. With 9 out 10 plastic products ending up in the oceans and
threatening marine life, RWM’s Green Day encourages employees to collate recyclable materials,
including PET bottles, that will otherwise end up in landfills and donate them instead to the foundation
for the production of blankets and shirts. These relief materials are donated to disaster-stricken
communities in the country.
Through such programs, RWM continues to strengthen its commitment as an organization that actively
supports the country’s environmental management efforts.

October 3, 2018- Resorts World Manila plants the seeds for a better
world
Resorts World
Manila's (RWM)
employees have taken the
company's environmental
advocacy to heart, as
evidenced by strong volunteer support for its Live and Love Green activities. After dozens of RWM
employees took part in the NatGeo Earth Day Run for environmental awareness, which the company also
supported as a sponsor, members of its League of Volunteer Employees (LOVE) took further steps to live
out their commitment for environmental protection and sustainability.
RWM recently held their annual LOVE Tanim eco-awareness and reforestation activity at the La Mesa
Nature Reserve in Quezon City.Through the activity, 600 Kupang (Parkia timoriana) germinants are now
being cultivated for future planting in an RWM-adopted arboretum."RWM has always believed in making
communities win through various initiatives which include environmental sustainability and social
development," says Joee Guilas, RWM Director for Corporate Communications. "
In addition to LOVE Tanim and supporting environmental awareness advocacies, RWM also has a
monthly waste collection and recycling drive where waste materials are “upcycled” into relief goods for
disaster victims.

May 8, 2016- Resorts World Manila observes Earth Month with eco-
friendly efforts
After the worldwide celebration of Earth Day last April 22, Resorts World Manila (RWM) delivered big
win for mother earth with activities that aim to promote and protect environmental sustainability. Last
April 28, RWM employees volunteered their free time to take part in the company's first corporate social
responsibility (CSR) day event this year dubbed "LOVE-tanim ay di biro". Participants went to the La
Mesa Nature Reserve in Quezon City to take part in eco-awareness activities in cooperation with ABS-
CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation, Inc.'s Bantay Kalikasan Program.
Through this, RWM supports the national government's campaign for tree-planting activities to address
the country's dwindling urban forest. The efforts produced 200 germinant plants of endemic species of
trees which will be transferred later within the year during a tree planting activity on a hectare of land the
company will adopt and help grow. The initiative is part of RWM's League of Volunteer Employees
(LOVE) Program designed to create a culture of volunteerism aligned with the company's corporate
social responsibility (CSR) thrusts of promoting Philippine Tourism and the Arts, Social Development,
and Environmental Sustainability.
"Saving the environment is a big challenge but it only takes small steps to make a difference. That's why
we encourage our employees by providing them with avenues to do their part and help preserve the
environment through eco-friendly practices. "RWM continues its green initiatives with its monthly "Live
and Love Green" recycling day activity in partnership with Tzu Chi Foundation Philippines. The
company has been able to collect 18 tons of recyclable materials in 2015 and has so far collected over 6
tons of recyclables this year alone.
These recovered materials will be made into clothing, thermal blankets, and other useful items for disaster
relief operations around the country.
