    PROPOSAL

    Concept
    My horror- romance music video features the
    story of a young girl’s jealousy driving her to
    commit a murder. It begins with her sat in a
    restaurant, when her dream man walks in
    and gives her his number and walks off. As
    she gets up to leave she realises he has used
    the same charm on another woman, and she
    sees them leaving together. This causes her
    to start stalking him, and she falls into a pit of
    rage which ends up with him being killed.

    Why are you producing this production?


    There are many reasons as to why I am producing this music video- the first of which being
    so I can enter the Henley college film festival, in which my peers can watch my work and see
    how I have developed over the time on this course. I have chosen to produce a music video
    for this festival/ unit of work as it is an easy median to shoot with no dialogue (which is the
    main criteria for this unit of work) whilst also being a genre I enjoy working in and am
    comfortable with.

    Deadline
    The deadline for this production is the 10th of December, as the Henley college film festival
    takes place on December 14th.

    Target audience
    My target audience is 40- 60-year olds. I have chosen
    this a it appealed to me much more than the 5-12-year-
    old option. So far in my work, I am successful in creating
    serious and tense productions, which makes 40-60-year
    olds a much more suitable target audience for me. My
    music video is not aimed at one gender more than the
    others, nor is it aimed at any
    social class or minority, as I have chosen a genre that
    appeals to all.

    What do they want to see?


    Through y surveys I have found out that my target audience want to see elements of film
    noir as this gives a more authentic and old-fashioned feel to feel production. They would
    also like to see elements of slow motion to add emphasis to scenes of violence.

    What are producing based on this research?


    Based on that research I will incorporate film noir into my music video by having it as an
    indication of my characters mood change when she sees the guy with another girl, but it will
    alternate between black and white and colour based on the tone of what is on screen at the
    time.
