    DRAFT RESOLUTION NO. ___, series of 2018

    “A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE EPISCOPAL ORDINATION AND CANONICAL


    INSTALLATION OF BISHOP-ELECT MEDIL S. ASEO AS THE 4TH BISHOP OF THE
    DIOCESE OF TAGUM THE AUTHORIZING THE LOCAL CHIEF EXECUTIVE TO ISSUE AN
    EXECUTIVE ORDER ALLOWING THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE/REROUTING OF
    SOBRECAREY STREET CORNER MAGSAYSAY STREET AND SOBRECAREY CORNER
    NATIONAL HIGHWAY FROM 6AM-3PM ON JUNE 20, 2018”

    WHEREAS, in a letter dated May 30, 2018 addressed to the City Mayor Hon. Allan L. Rellon,
    DPA, PhD, Rev. Msgr. Ulysses L. Perandos for the closure/rerouting of Sobrecarey Street Corner
    Magsaysay Street and Sobrecarey Corner National Highway from 6am-3pm on June 20, 2018 for the
    Episcopal Ordination and Canonical Installation of Bishop-Elect Medil S. Aseo as the 4th bishop of the
    Diocese of Tagum;

    WHEREAS, the episcopal ordination and canonical installation of bishop-elect Medil S. Aseo as
    the 4th bishop of the Diocese of Tagum is a momentous and significant event marking another milestone
    in the history of the catholic church in the City of Tagum;

    WHEREAS, Section 21 (C) of Republic Act 7160 otherwise known as the “Local Government
    Code of 1991” recognizes the power of the local chief executive through a written order to temporarily
    close national or local road, alley, park, or square, provided, that such closure is officially sponsored,
    recognized, or approved by the local government unit concerned.

    NOW THEREFORE, the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Tagum acknowledges and recognizes the
    episcopal ordination and canonical installation of bishop-elect Medil S. Aseo as the 4th bishop of the
    Diocese of Tagum and thereby authorizing the local chief executive to issue an executive order allowing
    the temporary closure/rerouting of Sobrecarey Street Corner Magsaysay Street and Sobrecarey Corner
    National Highway from 6am-3pm on June 20, 2018.

    RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be furnished to all offices concerned for
    their guidance and Information.
