Instructions:

1. If the government has the prime duty to serve and protect its citizens, in return, what is our
responsibility to the state?
- Our responsibility to our state is to protect and promote human rights

2. Why does the government recognize the important role of the youth in nation building?
- Because they realize that, they are not getting younger anymore, youth need to be
trained as early as their age since they will take their turn/place.

3. Why do you think female students are now required to take NSTP?
- because they must complete one (1) NSTP component of their choice as part of their
graduation requirement

4. Why are foreigners not required to take up NSTP?

- Because they are not Filipino Citizens, they will not serve our country

1. Define a constitution.
- a nation's, states, or social group's basic ideas and rules that establish the government's
powers and responsibilities

2. Who are citizens of the Philippines? 


- Those who have been naturalized according to the law
- Those who were Filipino citizens at the time this Constitution was adopted

3. If the Philippine Constitution mandates the Bill of Rights of the Filipino people, what is also our
reciprocal obligation to the State? (5-12)
-Our obligation is to obey our law
-To respect our tradition and institution

4. What are the different citizenship values contained in the Preamble of the Philippine
Constitution? (13-28)
- These are unity, patriotism, faith in Almighty God, respect for life, respect for law and
Government, work, truth, justice, freedom, love, equality, peace, promotion of the common,
concern for the environment, and order.

1. How do you define values?


- It’s a belief that motive others to act in one way, it’s also a guide for human behavior

2. Write at least 10 values that you possess and rank them according to what you think is
important to you.

3. Explain the following briefly:


Using "po" and "opo" and kissing the hands of elders should be preserved.

- Those simple gestures are the sign of respect to others specially to the elders and it’s a
way of accepting blessing from them

"Kung ano ang puno Siyang bunga"

- It’s a saying about parent and child, that the child adopt the behavior of his/her parent

"Values are caught and not taught"

- It means that Values learned from seeing them doing this value instead of being told
