The isentropic compression is shown by the curve BC2 in Fig. 9.2. In this case, the volume
of refrigerant delivered (v2) is represented by the line c;n.
The work done by the compressor per cycle during compression may be worked out in the
similar way as polytropic compression. The polytropic index n is changed to isentropic index yin
the previous results.
