    How to Install Desktop Lightroom Presets

    1.First, download the zip file(s) that contain the presets.


    2.Once you have the zip file(s) downloaded, you will need to
    unzip them prior to installing the presets.
    3.On a Mac, you can double-click the zip file(s) to unzip. Some
    Macs are set automatically unzip the file for you upon download.
    4.On Windows, right-click and choose "Extract All". You have the
    option to save the presets wherever you choose on your
    computer. Save them someplace that you will easily remember for
    the next step.

    How to Install Your Lightroom Presets in the Most


    Recent Version of Lightroom Classic CC (mid 2018
    update .xmp files)

    1. On a PC, go into Lightroom and click on Edit at the top (next to
    File), then click on Preferences. On a Mac, click on the Lightroom
    tab (to the left of File), then click on Preferences.
    2.  There will be a new screen that pulls up and there will be
    several tabs at the top, click on Presets (the second tab).
    3.  Click on the box titled, Show Lightroom Develop Presets. 
    4.  Double click on Settings. Paste the folder from your download
    that holds the .xmp files into this folder.
    5.  You're done.  If Lightroom was open when you copied the
    presets, you will have to close it and restart it.

    How to Install Your Lightroom Presets in Past


    Versions of Lightroom (pre 2018 CC, LR
    4,5,6 .lrtemplate files)

    Windows
    Open Lightroom
    Go to: Edit • Preferences • Presets
    Click on the box titled: Show Lightroom Presets Folder
    Double click on Lightroom
    Double click on Develop Presets
    Copy the folder(s) into Develop Presets
    Restart Lightroom

    Mac
    Open Lightroom
    Go to: Lightroom (upper left of screen)• Preferences • Presets
    Click on the box titled: Show Lightroom Presets Folder
    Double click on Lightroom
    Double click on Develop Presets
    Copy the folder(s) into Develop Presets
    Restart Lightroom
