Brood Powers
When a drakeadon manifests a particular dragonflight, it gains unique abilities. Each has the special features
described below.
Black Drakeadon. A black drakeadon is resistant to fire damage and vulnerable to radiant damage.
Lava Breath. Each creature in the breath's area must make a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw, taking 28 (8d6) fire
damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
In addition, any creature who failed the saving throw is covered in molten slag. The creature takes 5 (1d10) fire
damage at the beginning of each of its turns until it or another creature uses an action to remove the slag.
Blue Drakeadon. A blue drakeadon is resistant to cold damage and vulnerable to fire damage.
Frost Breath. Each creature in the breath's area must make a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw, taking 28 (8d6) cold
damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
In addition, any creature who failed the saving throw has their speed reduced by half for 1 minute.
Bronze Drakeadon. A bronze drakeadon is resistant to lightning damage and vulnerable to poison damage.
Sand Breath. Each creature in the breath's area must make a DC 18 Constitution saving throw, taking 28 (8d6) fire
damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Their maximum hit point total is reduced by
the same amount for 1 hour. A creature whose maximum hit point total is reduced to 0 hit points is killed.
In addition, any creature who failed the saving throw is stunned until the beginning of the drakeadon's next turn.
Green Drakeadon. A green drakeadon is resistant to acid damage and vulnerable to force damage.
Acid Breath. Each creature in the breath's area must make a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw, taking 28 (8d6) acid
damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
In addition, any creature who failed the saving throw who wears nonmagical armor or a shield take a permanent
and cumulative -1 penalty to the AC it offers. Armor reduced to an AC of 10 or a shield that drops to a +0 bonus is
destroyed.
Red Drakeadon. A red drakeadon is resistant to fire damage and vulnerable to cold damage.
Fire Breath. Each creature in the breath's area must make a DC 18 Dexterity save, taking 28 (8d6) fire damage on a
failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
In addition, the drakeadon regains a number of hit points equal to the damage dealt by this breath attack.
