    -asks the students to listen to some animal sound and to recognize them

    ACTIVITY 1:LISTENING: TIME: 20 minutes

    BEFORE LISTENING

    T-asks the Ss to open their books on page 44


    -writes the title on the blackboard
    - elicits the words PET, SHOP and FUN
    -asks Ss to look at the pictures on page 44: Look at the pictures and tell me
    what animals can you see
    Ss-answer the question
    T-now we’ll listen to the Cd

    WHILE LISTENING:

    T –tells the Ss to try to sing and do


    S-listen and do
    AFTER LISTENING

    T- elicits the verbs: CRAWL, FLY, JUMP, SWIM, WALK,TALK


    -uses gestures
    S-do this
    T-asks Ss questions using CAN and tries to elicit answers from Ss;

    -Can a spider crawl?


    -Can a rabbit jump?
    -Can a sea horse swim?
    -Can a tortoise walk?
    -Can a parrot talk?
    Can a bear sing?
    Can a cat talk?

    T-writes on the blackboard


    S-write in their notebooks

    ACTIVITY 2: SPEAKING AND WRITING


    TIME: 10 minutes
    INTERACTION: group work

    T – tells the Ss that they we’ll do the next activity in groups of four
    -establishes the groups
    -each group will receive flashcards with animals, with the verbs CRAWL,
    FLY, JUMP, SWIM, WALK, TALK, RUN, SING, CLIMB and with
    CAN/CAN’T
    - you have to try to make up sentences using the flashcards.
    -write them in your notebooks
    S- do this
    T-asks some students to tell some sentences
    ACTIVITY 3: LISTENING AND READING
    TIME: 15 minutes
    INTERACTION: individually

    T-tells the Ss to look at exercise 2 on page 44-45


    - listen and try to find out the animals you hear
    S-listen
    T- What animals did you hear?
    S- answer
    T-now we’ll listen again and you have to read
    S-listen and read while listening
    T-asks some students to read the lesson
    S- read on roles

    ASSESSMENT: appreciates the active pupils and gives advice to the less
    active ones.

    HOMEWORK: gives Ss a handout with verb CAN
