The spacious Polo Vivo Sedan is characterised by a decidedly powerful design. As

the design of the fully galvanised body is fully original from the B-pillar back, this has
created an extremely homogenous appearance. From the side view, the window line
rises gently towards the rear, thus creating a dynamic impression. The roof section is
characterised by a curvature typical of Volkswagen.

The boot lid itself continues this gently flowing line. Viewed directly from behind, the
design of the Polo Vivo Sedan is dominated by the large, divided re-designed rear
lights and an elegantly drafted tail end.

In the front, the Polo Vivo Sedan has the distinctive new face of Volkswagen.

INTERIOR

Perfectly designed cockpit and ergonomic front seats

Volkswagen represents quality values in every class. The Polo Vivo Sedan illustrates
this in its interior by means of its innovative structure, high-quality materials, clear
symmetry and perfect ergonomics.

The Polo Vivo Sedan holds its greatest surprise in store for anyone getting in for the
first time. After you close the doors there is some uncertainty about the class of
vehicle that you have just got into. The reasons for this are the good spatial
proportions, the generously designed seating, the clearly structured cockpit, the
ergonomic arrangement of the controls and the quality of the materials such as soft
touch ‘slush’ technology cockpit.

Another feature that stands out in the Polo Vivo Sedan is the comfort of its seats,
even over long distances. In order to permit every single driver to achieve his or her
ideal seating position from an ergonomic point of view, both the rake and reach of the
three-spoke steering wheel can be adjusted as standard to the perfect position by
means of the locks on the steering column. The usual flexibility is available in the
boot of the Polo Vivo Sedan. In its standard configuration it provides 432 liters of
storage space. If you completely fold down the rear seat you can load up to 737 liters
of luggage.

The cockpit of the Polo Vivo Sedan is also notable for its uncluttered clarity. The
centre control panel on the cockpit itself has been positioned relatively high up in
order to make operation of the controls as simple and ergonomic as possible. Right
at the top there are two ventilation apertures, below them a row of controls with the
switch for the hazard warning lights built into the centre. It is all rounded off by an
extremely logically constructed and easily comprehensible heating and ventilation
control system.

ENGINES

Economical engines

The Polo Vivo Sedan is available with three new multi-valve engines, 1.4-liter 55 kW,
1.4-liter 63 kW and 1.6-liter 77 kW. All engines are mated to 5-speed manual
transmissions.

1.4 delivering 55 kW

This four-cylinder petrol engine is one of the two 1.4 engines in the Polo Vivo Sedan
range. It has a lively power output of 55 kW at 5000 rpm. Maximum torque amounting
to 132 Nm is available from 3600 rpm. The engine is outstanding for its high torque
curve, thanks to the carefully perfected geometry of the inlet manifold, and
combustion chambers with low fuel consumption. Even in the overall average, just
6.2 liters of fuel flow through its fuel pipes every one hundred kilometres. The 55 kW
Polo Vivo Sedan has maximum speed of 171 km/h.

1.4 delivering 63 kW

The more powerful 1.4 engine has the power output of 63 kW at 5000 rpm. Besides
offering good dynamic performance, the four cylinder 63 kW engine offers excellent
fuel economy. It has an average consumption of 6.2 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers.

When it comes to performance, the 63 kW engine has a top speed of 177 km/h and a
0-100 km/h sprint time of 12.2 seconds.

1.6 delivering 77 kW

The 1.6 77 kW engine tops the Polo Vivo Sedan lineup. The 77 kW power output is
achieved at 5250 rpm.

It has maximum torque of 155 Nm that is available at 3500 rpm. It has a top speed of
187 km/h and sprints from 0-100 km/h in 10.6 seconds. It has impressive fuel
consumption of 6.6 liters per 100 kilometres.
