Nestle paid their staff in full for the next 3 months


Nestle Company announced that due to pandemic, full salary will be given to the worker
who must stop working for a minimum 3 months. This is to help and ensure their staff is in a good
condition especially from mental health aspects during the pandemic. The corporation also stated
that it would temporarily enhance the salaries of employees at the factory that is still operating in
Canada by $3 per hour. Nestle also claimed that employees who are unable to work from home will
receive bonuses, as well as compensation of up to 8 weeks for those who are unable to work
because the factory is temporarily closed due to the pandemic.

The Nestle business which makes Milo and Nescafe products has also stated that loans and
cash advances will also be given to all workers who are experiencing financial difficulties as well as
an emergency sick leave arrangements to those workers that have contracted with the virus.
Furthermore, part-time employees would be compensated for up to 3 months and small suppliers
would be paid quickly to ease their burden in the pandemic. Nestle also have cooperated with Red
Cross to give supplies and transportation to the humanitarian organisation as well as donated 10
million in cash, foods, and medical equipment to people who are in a hard situation in this
pandemic. To sum up, it is clearly can be seen that during this pandemic, Nestle Company is
maintaining its ethical and socially responsible standards towards their Canadian employees.

Disney Parks makes donations to Hospitals and Medicals Professional


The impact towards the closing of theme parks and stores during the pandemic have made
Disney Parks continued focusing on how they can do different in this pandemic time. In response
towards the requests from many hospitals for more protective clothing and medical supplies, Disney
Parks has partnered with MedShare and donated 150 000 rain ponchos to MedShare, a
humanitarian relief group, to distribute to hospitals and healthcare workers often known as a
frontliners to keep them safe from contracting with the virus. The nurses discovered that rain
ponchos are a fantastic solution to preserve their garments while also allowing them to apply PPE for
longer periods of time. Moreover, the states of New York, California, and Florida have also received
donation of 100,000 N95 masks donated by Disney Parks.

Not only that, but Disney Parks including Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort,
Disneyland Paris, and Aulani, A Disney Resort and Spa, have donated over 270 tonnes of food to
local food banks. Furthermore, as a reaction to hospitals in France, Disneyland Paris has donated
over 100,000 medical items including hygiene caps, masks, and protective footwear to the French
government. From 2020, roughly around $3 million have been donated by Disney Parks to help all
the communities across the world. Disney Parks which are one of The Walt Disney Company’s have
shown a good image in maintaining socially responsible practices during this pandemic.
