Dream job
My friends have frequently asked me about my future dream job since I was a child, and
I have always thought and wished to sell some groceries at the market. Such an innocent girl,
right? But now my dream becomes bigger and bigger, I want to be a businesswoman in the
future. I wish to pursue a career as a salesperson or open a store selling a specific product. My
mom is now running a bookstore, which is why I enjoy doing business so much. I've always
looked up to her.

I also have some preparations for my future. Firstly, I chose foreign business
administration to major in when I go to the university. In addition to studying, I now conduct
additional research and read books to gain a better understanding of various methods of
selling. Thirdly, I enjoy spending time with my mom discussing customer needs, the market, or
how to handle problems that arise. This is the job I've always wanted. In the future, I intend to
work hard to become a successful businesswoman. And how about you? Did you have any goal
or dream job that you want to do when you was a child, and does it change when you grow up?

Advantages
I fully control the work process and does not depend on anyone.
I can achieve my goal, become the person that I want, and also live up to my parents’ expectation.
In the modern world, the presence of my business is a very prestigious achievement.
There is no limit to earnings, because at a successful outcome income will only grow.
I get a large amount of knowledge and experience that will come in handy in further life.
For convenience, you can create that operating situation that will like you.
Stress will become smaller when you create a sustainable business with good income.
You can hire people who understand the question better than you.
You can control your time.
Business management develops exactly as you want.

Disadvantages
No one promises that my business will succeed.
If the business fails, I will only guilty, and it can put pressure on a person from a psychological point
of view.
I have to spend a lot of money and my time at the beginning.
Sometimes you have to be in some uncertainty about the future.
If the business is unstable, it will entail the financing problems.
It will be necessary to aim to change that business expects the greatest success.
With the creation of business, the responsibility increases several times, no one can help me but
myself, I have an enormous responsibility on my shoulder, because everyone believe me, so I have
to try my best.

Factors to choose a job

1. Working hours
The hours that you’ll be working at your job are important for a healthy work-life balance and to fit
around the other important areas of your life. You should spend time with your family, your friends,
and also for yourself, the time for you to relax after a hard-working day. Some people who have
pretty good time-management skill, but long working hours still cause them a lot of trouble. So I
think working hours is the factor that people may take into consideration when they choose a job.
2. Benefits offered
You know the payment, either salary or wage is top priority reason that they accept the job offer.
Everybody all over the world have to make their living, like bring home the bacon. Therefore high-
paid job is the bee’s knees ( the best option). Besides the payment, people may take into account
other benefits like holiday allowance, retirement contributions, insurance, bonuses, and healthcare.
3. Interest and passion
Some questions which are necessary to ask one when planning on choosing a career path are;
what do I enjoy doing the most? What job can I do and be happy even without getting paid?
What are my interests? Many people are out there who do not get the job satisfaction because
they can’t get motivated from the work they don’t like. Or even they do have a stable job, a
well-paid job, but they still quit their job to pursue their own dream. Therefore, I think interest
and passion are important factors to identify the career, or else people won’t achieve their job
satisfaction.

So in conclusion, from my point of view, there are three main factors that people may consider,
which are working hours, benefit offered and interest and passion.

Open and shut question

4. Company culture
The culture of your new working environment will have a big impact on your enjoyment of your
working life. If you can, find out if current and previous employees are happy working there, and
with how they’re treated by the company. Ask your interviewers if they like working there, what the
employee turnover rate is, and how often social events are arranged among the employees – this will
give you a good indication of the company culture.
5. The team
Co-workers are a big influence on the working environment and how effective you’ll be when
working alongside one another. It’s a great idea to try, if possible, to meet as many potential team
members as you can during the interview.
6. The passion of the team
The passion that a team has about what they’re a doing is a big indicator of how happy the team will
be in the future. It’s great if the team has unified values and a shared vision, this makes the work
atmosphere more positive and exciting and will make you look forward to going to work each day.
7. The stability of the company
The benefits of carrying out enough research on the company can’t be overemphasized. Ensure you
do this before making any official commitments to the company. Is the company stable and growing
or is there a risk of redundancies in the future? The answers to these questions should affect whether
you’ll want to work for the company or not.
8. Opportunities for growth
Advancement opportunities in the workplace are very important for career progression. Therefore, be
sure to ask if there are such opportunities while you’re at the interview. By doing this, you’ll give the
interviewers a picture of someone who’s interested in staying with the company and is driven and
ambitious. It also gives you a clear picture of the potential future of your career if you join.
9. Educational opportunities
Everybody wants to be employed by a company that supports their individual growth. At times this
growth will rely on additional learning and qualifications. An important question to ask during any
interview is if there is any investment in the education of their employees.

Spare time
 What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
 How much time do you have each week for doing these things?
 Why do you like doing these activities?
 How did you start doing this activity at first?
 Is there some other hobby or sport you would like to try? Why?
 How has the way people spend their free time changed over the years?

I’m glad you asked me that because I’ve got a whole range of hobbies that I’m really into. Well,
one of the things I love to do is just hanging out with my friends, so whenever I’ve got a bit of
spare time, I’ll call up my peers, see if they want to chill and I’ll go out with them. It might
sound kinda obvious but my friends are really important to me, and believe it or not I’m kind of
an introverted person. Sometimes, I just want to be by myself, spend free time alone watching
Netflix or reading books. I quite like reading and recently I’ve kind of gotten into audiobooks,
I downloaded an app called audible, and I can just spend a whole day, lying back, listening to an
audiobook, and enjoying that. That how I spend my spare time, what about you?

Daily routine
My daily activities depend on my work schedule, so nothing is fixed. I am not an early
riser because I often stay up late at nights, that’s why I can’t enjoy the morning much. After
having a light breakfast, I check my timetable and write down to-do list for each day. That
positive habit kinda help me to become more effective and organized. You know, I am a
freshman and I usually spend all my time in the morning to take the classes and do some
assignment. After having lunch, my mum often makes a meal, because I frequently have classes
until 11h30, so I don’t have enough time to cook. Then, (do the washing-up) I take a cat nap.
Just about 20 to 30 minutes, bc if I sleep more, I’ll feel I am gonna die when I get up. In the
afternoon, I try to complete all the tasks that I have scheduled in the morning, and yeah, take
the classes as my school timetable. I always take about 30 minutes to work out with my dad
and my younger brother in the afternoon. We often go jogging or ride a bike, which really help
me to keep fit and have a good life style. In the evening, after having dinner and wash the
dishes, it’s my choice to do anything I want. There is no fixed things for my evenings. I often
watch youtube or some TV show with my family, I truly love that time of day since it allows me
to relax and let my hair down while also allowing me to spend time with my family. Then I often
go to bed at 11h30. That how I spend my day, what about you? What is your daily routine?
What part of the day you like the most?

Studying problem
My problem with my studying is just myself. When I started to study, I couldn't be disciplined
with my study time and I couldn't concentrate while studying because of cellphone. Especially,
when I have to take the classes online, my phone keeps distracting me with youtube and tiktok
videos. Another problem is my time-management skill. I can't organize my studies very well so I
always think that I don't have enough time to learn for the exam. And all the deadlines,
assignment and work make me stressful and depressed. So, can you help me to solve that two
problem? What is the best solution that I can do to make my studying become more efficient
and productive?

My trouble with studying is entirely self-inflicted. I couldn't be disciplined with my study time
when I first started, and I couldn't concentrate when studying due of my smartphone. My
phone, especially when I have to attend lessons online, keeps distracting me with youtube and
tiktok videos. Another issue is my ability to manage my time. I'm not very good at organizing my
studies, so I usually worry that I won't have enough time to study for the exam. And all of the
deadlines, assignments, and work stress me out and make me miserable. So, could you assist
me in resolving those two issues? What is the most effective way for me to keep my studying
more efficient and productive?

I don't have any study problems. So I suggest you should keep your phone away, like out of
reach or turn the wifi off so that you can totally concentrate on your studying. And by the way, I
want to share my tips with you:
First, believe in yourself. İt is an important and first step to be successful.
Second, make a schedule. It can change from person to person. For example İf you don't want
to plan every minute you can to-do list.
Third, give short breaks. These short breaks give you more energy and they keep your brain
active. During these breaks, you can do sports or exercise.
Fourth don't put off anything. Start studying now.
And the last tip: Be motivated and focus. If you really want it you can do it

Workplace issues
Find a job today is hard, but find a suitable job even harder
1. Bad bosses
There’s an old saying: “People don’t quit jobs. They quit managers.” And it’s true that many
surveys show that bad managers are one of the top reasons people leave their jobs.
It’s not hard to guess why. While you can put up with a lot of problems and still get along at
work, it’s nearly impossible to be productive, engaged and successful when you can’t get along
with the boss.

2. Lack of two-way communication

Navigating different communication styles and the prioritization of communication in the office
is a challenge most employees face. Because of poor communication, deadlines are missed and
work is done ineffectively—or not done at all. That’s why it’s important to have clear channels
of communication.

3. Workplace Bullies
When you think of bullying, you might think of something that happens to kids, but bullies can
affect your life long after school is over.
What does workplace bullying look like? It might be as overt as name-calling and other verbal
abuse, or it might be as subtle as being excluded from team events or singled out for unfair
criticism.

4. Bias and Discrimination

It’s illegal to discriminate against workers on the basis of protected characteristics like age,
disability, pregnancy, race, religion and sex, but that doesn’t stop organizations from doing it.

5. Too much work and too little time

Large amount of workload, they will get tired and soon get fed of the job because they have to
do too much work, too much deadlines and they don’t have enough their time for their and

6. Low motivation
Many individuals commit themselves to their jobs at first, but after a while, they find it difficult
to keep motivated and involved. Because maybe the job is too stable or they can’t get
promotion even while they try their best at work. As a result, they will grow dissatisfied with
their jobs and lose motivation.

Why people enjoy traveling

1. Traveling Improves Their Health
As usual, a lot of people may stay sitting on a chair all day long at the workplace: including some
walking to their trip is sure to make their body feel better. For some people, wandering abroad
is even a cure for depression and anxiety. Of course, it's not a foolproof cure, but it might help
them feel better, both physically and psychologically.
Traveling more is likely to have a tremendous impact on human mental well-being, especially if
we're no used to going out of our comfort zone.
2. Traveling Lets Them Disconnect From Their Daily Life
This is closely related to my previous point. We tend to get so caught up in our daily lives that
sometimes, by simply sticking around, we may do ourselves more harm than good.
Sometimes it is best to take a step back, take a deep breath and hit the road. In all seriousness,
travel is not a bad option.
3. Traveling Makes People Smarter
Get used to picking up new words in a different language every time they travel and they will
see improvements in their brain capacities.
Even more than "just" languages, traveling helps them learn about themselves.
They might run into challenging situations where they need to be resourceful and think
differently. When you go traveling I'm sure that you will develop a new set of skills that you
didn't suspect you had within you.
4. Traveling Improves People’s Understanding Of Other Cultures
Why we travel may differ from one person to another, but people traveling always develop
empathy and a deeper understanding of other cultures.
Dare traveling to regions you have a skeptical opinion about. I bet that you will change your
mind and realize that everything is not so bad abroad.
5. Traveling Allows Us To Try Amazing Food
Speaking of food, I bet you're one hell of a chef and your home meals are delicious. But there is
no such thing as trying a typical local dish from another country.
Don't trick yourself into going to the Sushi shop next door: you don't know what sushi tastes
like until you've been to Japan.
As you travel, you discover the real thing, and discover that it's usually very different from what
you're used to.
Eating local food in a new country is an entirely new experience. All the flavors are different.
6. Traveling Expands People’s (Real) Social Network
Believe it or not, establishing connections and building a network abroad is one of the smartest
things you can do in today’s world.
It is sometimes hard to build long-lasting relationship with the people you meet abroad, but it
doesn't mean it's not worth meeting new people! So a lot of people nowadays love traveling
because they want to make new foreign friends and expand their social network.

Pros and cons of traveling

1. I can experience new cultures
One key advantage of traveling is that I can experience many different new cultures.
By traveling around, I will meet many new people and see how they live their life.
Talking to those people and experiencing their way of life is extremely important since I will be
able to see how different people live on our planet.
2. You will expand my knowledge
Through travelling, I will also be able to improve my overall knowledge in several different
areas.
For instance, i will learn how to find an accommodation, how to talk to people if they do not
understand my language and how to get around in a safe and fun manner in general.
3. I can learn new languages and also make new friends
Another upside of traveling is that i might learn new languages during my travels.
While it is quite hard to motivate myself to learn new languages back home, it might become
easier when i travel since i see for what i actually learn.
Trust me, if you are in a remote part of our planet and urgently try to communicate to people
but nobody seems to understand what you want to tell him, you will be quite motivated to
learn at least a few words of the native language in order to make your life much easier.
Moreover, locals will also appreciate it quite a lot if you try to learn their language and to get to
know their cultures and it will also be much easier to make new friends if you speak a few
words of the local language.
4. Traveling may make me more independent

The part that you don’t like

1. Traveling can be costly
Although traveling has many important advantages, there are also some problems with it.
One downside of traveling is that it can be quite costly.
Even if you stay in quite cheap hostels and try to save money on food, you will still need some
money to get around, to pay for your flights and so on.
2. Can be exhausting
Even though you will make many experiences you will never forget during your travels,
traveling abroad can also be quite exhausting, especially if you are traveling for many months in
backpacking style since you will always have to search for new accommodations again and you
will not have too much time to rest.
3. Feeling of loneliness
You might also suffer from a strange feeling of loneliness during your travels.
Especially if you are traveling by yourself and are in remote parts of our planet, you might feel
kind of lost and may want to go back home.
This may be especially true if you do not speak the local language and cannot make connections
with locals at all.
4. Homesickness
Homesickness is a problem that is especially present in young people.
If you have never traveled before, you might feel quite lost and miss your family and your
friends a lot.
Therefore, you might develop a mental state that is referred to as being homesick.

Pros and cons of eating out

1. You can try new foods

Cooking something new can be quite intimidating, especially if you’re unsure about whether
you’d like it or not. Eating out allows you the freedom to try something new without the
investment of your time and effort.

2. You do not have to cook, or do some washing-up, and also it can save time

Like mentioned earlier, cooking takes a lot of time and commitment. Sometimes you may just
not have the time or energy to prepare a meal, and eating out would be an easier option.

3. You get to spend time with family and friends

Food has been a way of bringing people together for a long time, so naturally eating out with
family and friends is enjoyable. Going to a favorite restaurant with a group of people you value
can be a great way to bond with one another.

4. Love to feel the atmosphere at the restaurant

5. You can assure high quality of your food
In general, if you cook at home, you can fully influence the quality of groceries you want to use.
Therefore, you will be able to supply your family and yourself with high-quality food on a
regular compared to eating out where you do not know how good or bad the quality of the
ingredients really was.

1. It’s Expensive

Restaurant food tends to almost always be overpriced. Frankly, most times you can make the
same if not similar dishes from a restaurant menu at home for much cheaper. It may be a better
option for you to stay in and make your meal at home rather than spending money outside.

2. You can’t tell what nutrients are in your dish

Often restaurant dishes contain a lot more calories, carbs, and sugar, than you may think. This
can easily lead to you eating unhealthy and straying from your diet. And moreover, you do not
know how good or bad the quality of the ingredients really was, so maybe it will be not good for
your health.

3. You can’t control the way the dish is prepared

Eating out limits the adjustments we can make to our food. This can especially be a problem for
people who have dietary restrictions. Such as those with gluten allergies or who are vegetarian.
Preparing dishes at home lets you adjust the ingredients in your meal as you please.
4. Family Time
Eating at home offers an excellent opportunity for family bonding. You can talk to your parents
about how their day go on. If you are always too busy to cook at home, you may not be able to
spend quality time with your loved ones.

Shopping – where u usually buy things

Do you like shopping?
Definitely who doesn't want to. for me that's one of the best stress relievers, it's makes me feel
much better whenever I buy something like books or clothes honestly I have this habit to buy
impulsively and I know it isn't good but I just can't help it
Do you like splurging your money on shopping?

Where do you usually buy groceries like necessary food and things for your home?
where do you usually buy grocery?
I often buy grocery at Central Market. I buy stuff there because it has a lot of fresh meat and
vegetables, It kinda near my house, so to save my time, I always go there and buy things I need.
and another reason is where I live doesn't have another market so I have no choice. You know I
live in a small district in mountainous area so that’s all what we have.

What about books?

I am kinda a bookworm, so I usually splurge my money on books. I always buy books online.
Almost every kind of books are available. either Vietnamese or English books. And the greatest
thing is that the price they offer is always 20-30% lower than in book stores. I have
bought dozens of books on Tiki and never a time did I feel disappointed.

How about clothes?

Like mentioned earlier, I live in small district in DB so it doesn’t have the clothes shop that sell
the brand that I want, so I buy it online. Buy things online, I was offered a lot of discounts and
sometimes I don’t have to pay the delivery cost at all. It’s very convenient. I always received
goods within a day and they were all in good quality.

Online shopping vs shopping in store

Shopping has evolved dramatically over the past several decades, providing consumers with
more choice and convenience whether they shop the brick-and-mortar stores or browse online
for their purchases.

1. Grocery delivery and pick-up

Everyone must buy food, but the transition to online grocery shopping has been recently
accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The benefits are clear, especially for those who may
struggle to find an hour or more a week to spend browsing the store shelves for groceries. Not
only can you fill your cart from the comfort of your home, but you can also clip coupons online
and even speed up the process by saving regular items in your app. Grocery stores have made
pick-up a breeze, allowing shoppers to schedule a pick-up time that ensures their vehicle is
packed and ready to go within minutes of parking.

2. No sales pressure
Although sales representatives can provide helpful knowledge and expertise, they can make
some in-person shopping experiences nerve-wracking for consumers. It’s no surprise that some
shoppers prefer to remove the pressure altogether by relying on online shopping sites where
they can take their time and not feel forced into a sale by somebody working on commission or
just trying to help.

3. Research and product reviews

The internet is a great place to research and compare products before pulling the trigger on a
purchase, especially a big one. Blogs and other online articles from trusted, unbiased sources
can take a lot of the work off your plate by testing products, outlining the pros and cons of
different brands, and comparing prices. Customer reviews are also a great resource for finding a
reliable product that fits your needs.

4. More variety
While brick-and-mortar stores must deal with the limitations of shelf space and retail
agreements, online shopping presents few restrictions. There are many options to choose from,
such as whether your product comes from brands or sellers – both local and international. You
can even reach small independent shops that may have been far off your radar before the
development of online shopping.

5. Convenience
When it comes to online shopping versus in-store shopping, the convenience of online shopping
clearly stands out. A shopping list that once might have required an entire day of shopping can
now be completed in one sitting thanks to online shopping platforms – if you can wait for
delivery. You can also squeeze in some shopping whenever you have the time, whether that’s
during a 15-minute break at work or after the kids are in bed for the night. And with front-door
delivery, that’s one less thing to fit into your schedule.

6. No crowds
Crowds have been a shopping headache for a long time, but the pandemic has made them even
more of a deterrent. Even with the efforts to enforce social distancing in stores, it’s nearly
impossible not to find yourself within six feet of other shoppers as you browse the shelves or
round an aisle. Online shopping also saves you the time of waiting in long lines to check out.
Some disadvantages
1. Shipping problems and delays. Even the biggest and best shipping companies
and online retailers have their bad days, so there's no way to ensure that you'll get your
hands on your purchase in time unless you pick it up from a store. Items get lost,
detoured, damaged, or delivered to the wrong address more often than you can
imagine.
2. Risk of fraud. If you're shopping online, there's a larger risk of fraud: credit card
scams, phishing, hacking, identity theft, counterfeit products, bogus websites, and other
scams are common.
3. Spending too much time online. Especially if your job requires that you look at
a computer all day, you might get burnt out on all that screen time. Shopping online can
turn into a marathon of scrolling and clicking down rabbit holes and before you know it,
you've been online for most of the day. The internet is a nice place to visit, but you
probably don't want to live there.
4. No sales assistance. In a store, there's usually someone to help you but online,
you're on your own. If you're confused or have questions, it's just too bad for you. You
might have to make blind purchases and mistakes you'll regret later because there was
no one to talk to.
5. You don't know exactly what you're getting. Unless you are intimately familiar
with a brand or product, buying online requires a leap of faith . . . one that doesn't
always end in your favor. Sizes are often imprecise. You can't determine texture, fabric,
fit, cut, quality, heft, or durability just by looking at a photo. Products that looked great
might feel chintzy, awkward, or cheap when you hold them in your hands.
6. Returns can be complicated. Some sellers make the process breezy, but many
make it extra hard for you to return their merchandise or get a refund. Many times, you
can't get reimbursed for any shipping costs. Labeling, packaging, shipping, tracking, and
filling out all the proper forms is a hassle you can avoid if you buy in person (and if you
hand-select your merchandise, you won't need to return things so often).
