During my school days I was lucky to have faculty who were very supportive. My Head
of department was always impressed by my practical work in class. I have done many
project works during my college days. I always had a keen interest in practical and
research work. Post studies I decided to work but because I was not getting any
substantial interesting work so I worked as an Assistant Computer Teacher in a School
from dated 02-07-2013 to 30-04-2014 so I could keep connected to the field. After that I
got a chance for which I was waiting where I attended an international seminar
regarding foreign education and I impressed by their seminar about MBA in Information
and communication technology so I applied for MBA degree from Western Sydney
University and I received Conditional offer letter as well, but I couldn’t get required
marks in my PTE Examination at that time so unfortunately I was not able to do foreign
study. However, I was working on my computer skills simultaneously so I got a job as a
software engineer in Fasdec solution company in Bangalore India in the year 02-Nov-
2014 to till now but, when my brother started his masters at Western Sydney University
and when he shared his experiences about how different it is there than in India it again
made me curious to study there. I realized I am not achieving anything substantial.
There is a lot more than what I am doing now. I felt I should upgrade my knowledge so I
can attain the next level. I decided to apply for further studies from Western Sydney
University and this time I got required marks in PTE Exam. So I decided to apply for
masters in Information and communication technology.
I got a chance to visit Sydney Australia two times with my husband. Sydney is a
beautiful city. Australian multicultural society is so enriched and heart whelming that can
attract anyone. Australia is a great place to live. The lifestyle in Australia is much more
different than as in India. If I get a chance to study and live there I will consider myself
very lucky. Not only education wise but I will get a chance to learn a lot more than that.
Learning a new culture, the use of a language which once I struggled to get enough
marks will be really encouraging for me. It will make me feel Yes I have done it. I really
liked Australian architecture. The way houses are constructed in Australia is way
different than we see in India. The first time I visited Australia I was really amused by
the way houses look. The physical and natural beauty of Australia is commendable.
Moreover the vibrant multicultural society and an outstanding lifestyle is equally
attractive. It is the site of top class universities with a high reputation, recognition and
academic excellence. Australia is the best platform for learning cooperative, interactive
and communication skills. All these outstanding Qualities influenced me to choose
Australian University. As I discussed with my brother who is enrolled at WSU praised
the University system so much that I could not stop myself to apply for the university. In
my brother’s words their studies methods like tutorials, lectures, seminars , updated
technology and major emphasis on practical work is highly impressive and I strongly
feel that I can learn my desired technical skills there. Australian education program
represents great value for money also. On the other side I can explore new diverse
culture, ritual, and I can make new friends and this all will help me to grow as a better
person in future personally and professionally. Further, Sydney is one of the most
beautiful cities in Australia, Sydney has an enriched culture and iconic world
monuments i.e. Opera House, Harbour Bridge, etc. For me, this all makes Sydney a
very knowledgeable place to learn and to visit. Furthermore, In India, students can get
theoretical knowledge and very less practical work which is not enough for better career
opportunities, and this is the big reason for me to study in Australia and in international
seminar I got to know that WSU aims for Practical knowledge and course works that will
be beneficial for me in many ways in future. I feel my previous qualification and skills
enables me the background knowledge that are required in order to partake in an
intensive Post Graduate Programme from WSU. After doing a lot of research I
shortlisted two universities in Australia to apply like UTS, WSU University. UTS has also
a top ranked university but the tuition fee is very high in UTS which is not affordable for
me, however, I took suggestion from my Brother and teachers who also suggested me
the same. I analyzed also that WSU is the best university with affordable tuition fee, so I
decided Western Sydney University to undertake my studies. I have applied for
Parramatta campus of WSU. If I am allowed to pursue my degree I will stay at my sister
in laws place who is living in Ingle burn area. The travelling time will be less for me and
I can focus on my studies, explore new places there which can help me out to
understand more about their people, place and Moreover, university also offers the on
campus jobs and aims to provide a professional experience too which can be very
helpful for my personal and professional growth.
In future, after completing my degree, I would like to return to India. I would prefer a job
in a software company for real time experience after my degree at WSU and later I want
to start my own software development company where I can build my own idea to
reality.
