is the picture that you are going to form.

I will divide the class into two groups. Each

group will have two envelopes to form.
I will give you 5 minutes to do that.

Can you identify the first picture in the first

group?
Mountains, River
Does it look beautiful?

Very good! What about the other picture? Yes, it is.

Okay good! Animal

Can animals be replaced? How?

That’s right! This group of natural resources Yes, it can be replaced through reproduction.
was considered as renewable resources.
What are renewable resources?
Renewable resources are natural resources
that can be replaced or renewed within a short
period of time.
Can you identify the pictures in the second
group? Wind mill and coal
Non-renewable resources
If the first group are called renewable
resources, how about the second group?
Nonrenewable resources are natural
Now class, what are nonrenewable resources? resources that cannot be easily replaced
within a short period of time. They can take
hundreds or even years to form.

No, because it can cause pollution that is very

Do you think the improper use of this harmful to our environment.
nonrenewable resources good in our
environment? Why?
Those are used for running electricity and
energy.

We need to use them wisely.

Do you have any idea what are the uses of
these nonrenewable resources?

So, what do we need to do to those Yes, it is. Because we need that to survive.
nonrenewable resources?

Very good! We need the Earth’s natural resources.

Is it important to conserve and protect our
natural resources? Why?
Recycling
What do we need in order to survive?

Correct! Bottles, newspaper, magazine, boxes, etc.

What is the effective way to conserve our
natural resources?

What are the things that can recycled?

Very good!
Renewable resources are the natural resources
that can be replaced in a short period of time.
Learning Task 5 – Abstraction

Again class, what are the natural resources? Renewable and nonrenewable resources

Sunlight, water, air, plants, and animals

Very good!
What are the two groups of natural resources?

Give me examples of renewable resources. Nonrenewable resources are the natural

resources that cannot be replaced easily
Correct! within a short period of time.

What are t\nonrenewable resources?

We need to use it wisely.

Correct!

What do we need to do to those nonrenewable

resources?

Learning Task 6 – Application

Now class, I want you to look under your

chair. As you can see some of you have the FRUITS NUCLEAR
picture. I will call you one by one and then RENEWABLE RENEWABLE
you will tell me what is it in the picture then RESOURCES RESOURCES
identify what group of resources is that.

Is it clear class?
