Action Depicting Rizal intended to show that the Filipino people already had a
Brotherhood
meaningful life before the Spaniards arrived. The visit of the Spaniards
to the Filipinos, during which the Filipinos portrayed fraternity by
becoming wed to the Spaniards through a blood compact, was proof of
action depicting brotherhood, despite the fact that the two sides hold
opposing views. There is no such thing as pure culture, but I believe
that what we have now is a continuation of the pre-colonial practices
of the Filipino people.
