READING
Hello! I’m Lee. I am twelve years old and I live in Beijing, China with my dad, mum and sister. My grandparents
live with us, too. My dad is a doctor and my mum is a teacher. They work really hard on weekdays but they
don’t work at weekends.
I go to an international school. I’m very busy on weekdays,too. I get up at seven o’clock and get dressed.
Then I always have breakfast with my family. I don’t go to school by bus because the school isn’t far away. I
usually walk there with my sister. We’re never late. My classes start at ten past nine in the morning and finish at
a quarter to three. We have got six classes a day- four classes in the morning and two classes in the afternoon.
My favourite subjects are Music and Science. I’m very good at singing and I’m in the school choir. Our lunch
break is at twenty past twelve. I usually have a sandwich and some fruit in the school canteen. Then I play
some fun games with my friends in the playground. Our favourite games are dodgeball and hide and seek.
Afternoon classes start at half past one. After school, I walk back home with my friends. Sometimes we stop in
the park and play football. My friends are crazy about it but I’m not because I can’t play it well. I prefer board
games. I can play chess and checkers very well. When I get home, I do homework and then I watch TV. We
always have dinner at half past seven. After dinner, I surf the Net or listen to music for an hour and finally I go
to bed at 10 o’clock.
At weekends I love hanging around with my friends. We love going to the cinema and cycling. Sometimes I
go camping with my cousin in the woods. I really love that!
