Slide : 1 : why republic day is celebrated in India?

Ans:Republic Day is a national holiday in India, when the country marks and celebrates the date on

which the Constitution of India came into effect on 26, January 1950, replacing the Government of

India Act (1935) as the governing document of India and thus, turning the nation into a newly formed
republic.

Ans: The Constitution of India (IAST: Bhāratīya Saṃvidhāna) is the supreme law of India.

The document lays down the framework that demarcates fundamental political code, structure,

procedures, powers, and duties of government institutions and sets out fundamental rights,

directive principles, and the duties of citizens. It is the longest written constitution of any country.

Ans: How we celebrate and Flag?
Bhagwa or the Saffron denotes renunciation. Our leaders must be indifferent to material gains and

dedicate themselves to their work. The white in the centre is light, ie: we citigens of india should stand
above

of all our diffrences be it in language, community or race and address ourselves as inidans first.

The green shows our relation to (the) soil, our relation to the plant life here,

on which all other life depends. The "Ashoka Chakra" in the centre of the white

is the wheel of the law of dharma. Truth or satya, dharma or virtue ought to be the controlling

principle of those who work under this flag. Again, the wheel denotes motion.

Ans: On Republic Day the celebratory event takes place at the Rajpath in the national capital.

The President unfurls the flag at the Rajpath. People in mass numbers will be gathered to pay

respect to the triclor and national anthem is also sung afterwards .


Slide: 5 ;Awards ceremony
Ans: Another equally important event that takes place on Republic Day is the award presentation

ceremony where police officers, defence personnel, and children are felicitated a medal for their

gallantry and bravery.

The Padma Awards: The Padma Awards are the highest civilian awards in the country.

They comprise of three categories based on the scale of the awardee's achievement -

The highest being Padma Vibhushan, followed by Padma Bhushan, and lastly, Padma Shri.

The Gallantry Awards: India's military personnel are honoured with a total of six awards for their

show of gallantry and valiance. The Param Vir Chakra, given for displaying acts of valour during wartime,

is India's highest military decoration.

Pradhan ,mantri rashtriya bal puraskar: Since 1996, every Prime Minister of the country has felicitated

children between the age of 5-18 for exceptional achievements across various fields on Republic Day.

Along with the medal, they also receive a certificate, citation, and a cash prize of 1 lakh.

Ans: Constructed after the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, the Amar Jawan Jyoti commemorates the dead

and unknown soldiers who lost their lives in the conflict, that resulted in the creation of independent

Bangladesh[5] The burning flame is considered immortal.The signification became more broad when all
the

names of soldiers martyred in post Independence wars or other missions during their service,

written in golden letters, was accompanied at the War Memorial. Amar Jawan Jyoti at Amar Chakra is
now

a place where citizens commemorate and pay tribute to fallen soldiers by reading their names at the

concentric Tyag Chakra.
