Depression is the main cause of disability Trusted Source worldwide, according to the World Health
Organization (WHO). It can affect adults, adolescents, and children. Depression creates feelings of melancholy
and/or a loss of interest in previously appreciated activities. It can cause a number of mental and physical
difficulties, as well as a reduction in your capacity to operate at work and at home. A person suffering from
depression frequently has radically different thinking before and after a depressed episode. This can be caused by
a chemical imbalance, and the individual may be unaware of the solutions available to assist them ease their
pain. Many persons who suffer from depression report losing the capacity to anticipate a bright future or recall a
joyful past. Often, people are unaware that they are suffering from a treatable ailment, and seeking treatment
may not even occur to them. Emotions, as well as physical suffering, can become intolerable. They don't want to
die, but it's the only way they believe their suffering would be relieved. It's a totally illogical decision. Depression,
like cancer or diabetes, is an uncontrollable condition. However, it is a curable and manageable condition. Many

suicide thoughts in children are complicated disorders involving several aspects. By detecting and treating
children, we can increase the odds that a young person suffering from depression will have a longer, healthier, and
more fulfilling life. Depression is not easy to fight with a person who experienced this kind of problem in our health.
In specific we have some ways on how we talk to a person who has depression.
The first step we need to do if we are talking to someone who is experiencing depression is to ask nicely and
calmly, for example “How can I best support you right now”, “Have you thought about getting help?”. This can
make the person calm if we do this kind of questioning. I know that many students are still fighting and trying
their best to defeat this depression, it is not easy but for me if we still have a chance to talk with someone or the
people surrounding you inform them that you are dealing with this serious type of problem in life. Second is the
prevention this prevention helps the people to maintain their life easy and meaningful, when we are talking to a
suicidal person we must consider this following pharse: “Be yourself and listen, Be sympathetic and offer hope, and
lastly take the person seriously.” These things may help the student or a person to communicate nicely with
them. People may do a variety of things to assist minimize the symptoms of depression. Regular exercise helps
many people develop happy feelings and boosts their mood. Getting adequate quality sleep on a regular basis,
eating a balanced diet, and avoiding alcohol (a depressive) can all help to lessen depression symptoms.
Depression is a serious condition, and there is help. The great majority of persons suffering from depression will be
able to overcome it with proper diagnosis and therapy. If you are suffering depressive symptoms, the first step is
to consult with your family physician or a psychiatrist. Discuss your problems and ask for a comprehensive
assessment. This is the first step toward addressing your mental health concerns. To summarize this, Depression
is a regular occurrence that causes pain, functional impairment, an increased risk of suicide, additional health-
care expenses, and productivity losses. Effective therapies are available for depression when it occurs alone as
well as when it co-occurs with other medical conditions. Add to this is we need to communicate with them
properly to boost their confidence and to show the people that depression is not easy but curable instead.
