Seva Bharathi, one of the reputed NGOs in Hyderabad, Telangana (www.sevabharathi.org)

operates various activities in the fields of Education, Healthcare, Women & Girl Child

Empowerment, Disaster Relief, and Child Welfare. In Telangana, we have about 12 affection homes,

7 Skill Development Centers, 4 Educational Institutions, 3 Ambulances, 300+ Child Coaching

Centers in urban slums and 2 Hospitals.

Projects run by Seva Bharathi

Kishori Vikas
Our program aims to improve the lives of girl children living in the slums. Our

volunteers/Coaches aged between 15 and 21 and are specially selected from each

area. Over a year we need about 300 of them for the training of girl child, which

encompasses things like education, health care, sanitation, vocational skills, folk

songs, folk arts, yoga and more. Our mission is one volunteer makes another from that

community – it's an ongoing project with a lot of potential!

Skill Development Centers

Seva Bharathi has set up various skill development centers across Telangana the details

are given overleaf. All the students/trainees will be from BPL families and rural areas.

The cost for running the skill development centers is Rs.4,000.00 per month per trainee.

The Bowenpally Nursing Assistant training is done for 40 students per batch for 3

months. The running cost is Rs. 6,00,000-00 per batch.

Nayi Disha
This is aimed to train the youngsters who passed 10+2 and wish to get into the Para

Military services and who are unable to spend money on training. The training

centers are established in Tier -1 and Tier -2 cities. Seva Bharathi is setting up

these training centers for the rural and tribal youth for them to crack the military

services recruitment process. The training is done for 100 students per batch for 2

months. The cost is Rs.6,00,000-00. Which includes the training equipment and

accommodation.

Hostels/Education
Seva Bharathi has set-up Hostels/Educational institutions across Telangana for the

destitute and poor boys, girls, SC/ST students and poor bright students. Details can

be found overleaf. Plans for expanding the hostels to reach many other interior areas

are on the cards. The running cost per child/student at the hostel is Rs.3,000 per

month

Hospitals
With the experience gained during Covid wave I and II, from working with the doctors

and the health care staff in setting up one Critical care and 5 Isolation centers and

one Oxygen center, Seva Bharathi is setting up 2 hospitals one at Seetharambagh,

Hyderabad and the other at Kokkireni, Suryapet to serve the needy slum dwellers and

rural people. The estimated cost is Rs. 5 crores for Seetharambagh hospital and 3

crores for Kokkireni hospital. Donations are currently accepted for the same.
