The purpose of Business Blueprint is the development of a detailed description
of the SIPS’s business process requirements:

 Business Organization Structure


 Business Process Definition
 Develop System Environment and System Management
 Quality Check Business Blueprint Phase

 Documents that are used in Business Blueprint are:


- Project Scope and Strategies

 Business Blueprint Deliverable is comprised of:


- Business Process Master List (TO-BE Tree)
- Business Blue Print Documentation (PDD, KDS & GAP Document)
- SAP Organization / Hierarchy Structure
- Enterprise Role Definition
- Technical Design

What is the Purpose of Business Process Definition?
 During Business Process Definition, the company requirements and SAP
business processes are defined

Determine Future Business Processes
 Identify current system information as input for determining process
improvement opportunities

 Document how performance measures will be taken and how results will be
managed

 Envision new business processes

 Conduct walkthroughs and obtain sign-off

Validation Workshops

Validation Workshop will consist of following activities:

1. Validation workshop shall be conducted module wise every week. Same will be
communicated to validation team in advance.
2. Process definition document shall be given in advance (1 week) to Process owner for
their review and listing of the points to be discussed during validation workshop
3. Core Team and IBM shall conduct validation workshop jointly to validation team
(module wise) using Power point presentation / PDD document.
4. Representative of other module shall be called, where ever cross module discussion is
required in validation workshop. This shall be communicated in advance to concerned
team (s).
5. Recommendation of Validation team shall be recorded in MOM (Record Note) and
signed off by all participants for further action.
6. MOM from validation workshop shall be circulated amongst attendees.

 The Business Process Definition defines the organization’s business processes and
translates the processes into functionality within the SAP R/3 system

 The Business Blueprint serves as the conceptual master plan and will be assembled
into a detailed written document

 The Business Blueprint shows the business requirements in detail and serves as the
