Cities of the Future

Kent Larson is an architect. He wants to solve a problem. What problem? The world's
population is growing, and more people are moving to cities.

These people need houses or apartments. A city with many small apartments can fit
more people than a city with large apartments or houses. Small apartments are not
expensive and use less energy. However, many people do not want to live in small
homes. They want separate rooms for different activities. This is a problem.

Kent Larson has an idea to solve this problem . . . a way to design homes in cities
where people can be happy in small spaces. He wants to use design and technology to
make a new type of apartment.
