shall modal verb

Shall" is a modal verb used to indicate future action. It is most

commonly used in sentences with "I" or "we," and is often found in
suggestions, such as "Shall we go?" "Shall" is also frequently used in
promises or voluntary actions. In formal English, the use of "shall" to describe
future events often expresses inevitability or predestination. "Shall" is much
more commonly heard in British English than in American English; Americans
prefer to use other forms, although they do sometimes use "shall" in
suggestions or formalized language.

Examples:

Shall I help you? suggestion

I shall never forget where I came from. Promise

5. How do you make yes/no questions, w-h questions, negatives and
affirmatives sentences using (will) and (be going to) (with examples)?

Yes/ no question

Here is the pattern to make this kind of question.

Be verb + subject + going + infinitive…?

Are you going to come to the party?

Is he going to quit his job?

Are they going to be late?

Is she going to care if I don’t come?

Are Mark and Tim going to help us?

Like other yes/no questions, there are long and short answers.

Are you going to play?

Yes, I am going to play.

Yes, I am.

Is he going to be there?

No, he isn’t going to be there.

No, he isn’t.

Yes/ no question (will)

The structure of a yes or no question is: auxiliary or modal verb followed by a
subject and a noun or a verb (the sentence ends with a question mark)

For example:

Will he cook the dinner?

Yes, he will cook the dinner

Yes, he will.

No, he will not cook the dinner= no, he won’t cook the dinner.

No, he will not= no, he won’t.

Wh- question form

To form information questions, use the following structure:

Wh-word + will + subject + verb + rest of the sentence ?

Wh-word + Be verb + subject + going + infinitive…?

For example:

Who will she talk to tomorrow?

Where will I eat next week?

What will he bring?

When will they visit Italy?

Why will we call her?

who is she going to talk tomorrow ?

where am I going to eat next week?

what is he going to bring ?

when are they going to visit Italy ?

why are we going to call her ?

6. In which type of conditional the (will) is used?

Type One Conditional Sentences (open condition)

This type of sentence expresses real and possible situations in the future; it
is possible for the condition to be met.

The structure of Type One conditional sentences:

Main part: will + infinitive; if part: Present Simple

We will stay at home if it snows.

She will get angry if I‘m late for the party.
