1. Everton
_______________________________________________________________________. First of all, it is
very quiet and peaceful. There is not much traffic, so there is not much noise. Next, there is no pollution.
The air is always clean and the river passing by the town is clear blue all the time. Finally, the people are
very nice. Everybody is friendly and very helpful, so you have lots of friends and neighbours. As a result, I
can’t think of a better place to live.

c) I think the friendliest people live in Everton.

1. Holiday in Middleton is Great!
__________________________________________________________________________. First of all, it

has lovely beaches. Many people enjoy the clear blue sea and the thin white sand on these nice beaches.
Secondly, there are nice places to see. There is a good museum and several historical buildings. Finally, it
has lots of great restaurants and night clubs. You can enjoy a great meal and wonderful music. To sum up,
because of these features I can’t think of another holiday place than Middleton.
2. How to Make Potato Salad
__________________________________________________________________________. First, you

should boil the potatoes. After they are boiled, you peel and cut them into small cubes. Next, you should
chop the onions, the pepper, and the parsley. You mix all the vegetables. As a next step, you add salt, black
pepper, lemon juice, and olive oil into it. Finally, you put this mixture on a big plate and your salad is ready.
As you can see, making a delicious potato salad is not difficult.

No Films from Books

I don’t like films and series adapted from books for several reasons. _________________________
________________________________. While reading a book you use your imagination and you can
visualize the story in your mind livelier. Films and series are more limited. __________________________
________________________________. The story in a book is usually not very long, but producers need a
longer story, so they add new characters and elements in the story. This is usually not very good because it
spoils the original story. _________________________________________________. They usually cannot
be like the original character and they try to put new dimensions on the character. This way you have a
different character in the film. In short, I prefer to read books but not to watch them on TV.

Pets are Good
Having a pet has several positive effects on people. First of all, they are great companions for old
people. Many old people live alone and they need a friend. A pet in the house makes them happy and
busy. They can talk to them and feel loved. Pets are also good for working people. They help them forget
the stress they live during the day and relax. Most importantly, they have positive effects on children.
Children who grow up with a pet are more merciful and become great animal lovers. They also learn the
importance of caring for an animal and gain some responsibilities. _______________________________.

Smart Phones are Everywhere
There are several uses of smart phones. Firstly, you use them as a tool of communication. You can
phone, send text messages, or even send e-mails. Another use of them is they are very practical cameras.
Nowadays many people do not use an extra camera. Instead, they take photos and shoot videos with their
smart phones. Lastly, smart phones also provide entertainment. You can play games on your phone, watch
videos, listen to music , or surf on the internet. ________________________________________________

1. The Londoner
The Londoner Café is one of my favourite places in the city. Most importantly, I like the variety of
food in this café. You can find everything; from vegetable to meat, from seafood to delicious desserts.
Their apple pie is good but my grandmother’s pie is better. Secondly, the atmosphere is wonderful. The
café is wonderfully decorated and the colours are very relaxing. There is also always a nice piece of music
which makes the atmosphere lovelier. Finally, the staff is very kind and the service is fast. The waiters take
your order immediately and bring your food in less than ten minutes. As a result, the Londoner is a place I
can recommend to everybody.
2. My Big Family
Being in a big family is very enjoyable. My grandfather has 10 children, so I have 5 aunts and 4
uncles. They all love me, so when I have a birthday I get many presents from them. Because I have so many
aunts and uncles, I also have many cousins, in fact 25. Some of them are older than me, so there is a
wedding of one of my cousins almost every year and we have a great family meeting in each wedding. I
also have younger cousins. This is lovely because I always have somebody to spend time with. My favourite
cousin Susan has long brown hair. Some of my cousins have babies. It is great fun to play with them and to
see them growing. All in all, I feel myself very lucky to be in such a big and enjoyable family.
