A food stall is a place where you can buy small amounts of food that are packed or
ready to eat. This is a public eating place where snacks are served, usually at a counter. With
its long history of popularity, the banana makes a statement about all manufactured goods and
is sure to satisfy the appetites of everybody who consumes it. With all of that, we will start a
business that will be called “Turon Delight,” not your typical banana roll snack. We gradually
came up with this product that offers something special, as opposed to the mass-market turon
that is commonly available on the streets. With the desire to make people try something new
or make a twist on what was previously popular, we invented something different that

HISTORY AND BACKGROUND OF TURON DELIGHT
Project Description
The business will be named TURON DELIGHT; it will make the ordinary banana
turon into something different and will use a sustainable product in the market. It will be
located at National Road, Centro Este, Libertad, Antique, in front of MLhuilier since it is an
urbanized area where the business target would be more attainable and accessible.
Additionally, the business location would be in a populous area where the target customers
are present, making the location a great spot to start a business. Moreover, the chosen
location would be very efficient and suitable for customers seeking a mouth-watering and
quality taste turon.
Turon Delight will be the first turon food stall in Libertad, Antique. Offering an
innovative turon that is all about delighting customers with a good snack at a very easy price.
It specializes in sweet and tasty Filipino delicacy. Turon Delight is a turon with a twist that
will give your mouth just enough sweetness. The turon’s innermost layer consists of banana
(saba), sweetened langka (jackfruit), and ube halaya/jam. The lumpia wrapper is used to
assemble the following fillings and will be coated with its not-so-typical coating. Sweet
delicacies like Turon Delight would be a perfect blend that will surely satisfy the cravings of
every Filipino. What makes us different from the other food stall that offers snacks here in
Libertad is that we will be the first to offer a turon with a twist and our quality control when it
comes to it. We mainly focus on the quality of our products to the customers; thus, we
prepare them under hygienic conditions.
3
Vision and How It Will Be Successful
Besides ordinary sweet bananas found in supermarkets, there are a variety of other
banana varieties to choose from, and they are all widely available and widely distributed
throughout the Philippines. Like potatoes in America, bananas are the main staple food in
many prepared foods because they give starch. All-time favorite less sweet and more starchy
Saba bananas will be utilized for our turon, which is traditionally used for cooking (seldom
called cardava banana). Unlike plantains, these bananas have a more comprehensive range of
uses, and it is just usually growing in the backyards of most people. Instead of putting it up to
no use, we want to make use of it rather than waste it. We want our product to be one of a
kind; our innovative product aims to target everyone due to its affordability; anyone can
easily purchase the product because it is prepared with nutrients. It suits to provide each
individual's needed strength and endurance throughout the day. The banana turon that we will
make is a mixture of banana (saba), jackfruit, and ube halaya that will surely bring sweet,
luscious goodness to our dear customers.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
● To make use of the most affordable but good quality raw materials
The abundance of bananas here in our local area is a great opportunity for us
entrepreneurs. However, we eat bananas plainly due to the lack of ideas and creativity.
Since some are just wasted, we want to produce another variation of turon snacks to
utilize it, and Turon Delight will be a great help for this problem.
● To produce and provide the customers with the most quality products in their
best interest
It does not mean that if we got our product from the local area, we would
produce a low-quality product for the locals. Instead, we will showcase a product with
a high-class quality but at a low price for the prospective customers.
● To ensure safe and clean products by making proper hygiene and sanitary
working environment to promote good health and risk-free benefits.
We must provide customers with a safe and clean product. Working in a
well-sanitized environment to help get the satisfaction and security of the customers.

customer decides on the quantity of the turon that he/she will buy, the seller will be asking if
it is dine-in or to go, and in a minute, turon will be served to the customer. The seller will
give the receipt to the customers and collect their payments. After collecting payments, the

MARKETING SECTION
Turon Delight is a delectable turon with a twist that contains banana (saba),
langka, and ube halaya/jam coated with its special sauce. The tasty Turon Delight specializes
in one of our Filipino delicacies: the turon. Moreover, we will sell it at a very affordable and
reasonable price at the marketplace to enable the customers to savor the tastiness of Turon
Delight on a budget. The product will be sold at Php 10.00 each. The proponents made sure
to consider target customers and decided to come up with a budget-friendly price. Turon
delight is priced according to the goal of producing high-quality product at an affordable
price.
Food stalls have been among the newest trends creating a buzz in the foodservice
industry. Food stalls continue to thrill customers and their taste buds, an opportunity for many
entrepreneurs across the foodservice industry. Globally, the demand for convenience foods is
growing at a faster pace due to changes in social and economic patterns as well as
expenditure on food awareness about healthy foods and the desire to taste new products. In
the Philippines, on-the-go snacking is becoming extremely popular, especially among the
working-class people, teenagers, people living in hostels, and bachelors due to their hectic
lifestyles. Moreover, the on-the-go snacking concept is closely associated with the easy
consumption and handling of products. Thus, the demand for snack products is increasing
due to the linked convenience of consumption, aided by disposable packaging that prevents
the bars from coming into contact with hands, keeping them clean to work simultaneously.
10
Unique Features of Turon Delight
The traditional turon is made of banana wrapped with lumpia wrapper, pan-fried in oil
with brown sugar. But Turon Delight is special because it is made of banana (saba), langka
(jackfruit), and ube halaya/jam. Combining these three makes it like Gourmet Turon. Not
only that, the coating is different as well. The caramelized pineapple sauce with cinnamon
and langka is very delicious. Made of butter, langka, cinnamon, pineapple juice, and brown
sugar, then simmered the sauce until thick, coating the fried banana rolls, so delicious!
One of the factors that can help business success is the location. In putting up Turon
Delight, we need to consider some factors for looking at business locations. The population
of the place, the demand and supply of goods, and the needs of the people. In addition, we
will put it up in places that draw people to the area. So we decided to place it in Centro Este,
Libertad, Antique near the public market. The more customers, the more chances we can
achieve successful business operations.
ADVANTAGES
● Get to know the customers better because location-based services are also a way to
discover more about its existing customers.
● Buyable to people because of the reason that Turon is an all-time favorite Filipino
merienda.
DISADVANTAGES
● Location has many competitions. Being near competitors offers customers more
choices, and you are in the pool of possibilities.
● Air pollution since many vehicles pass by.

II. MARKETING
Target Market
The target market of the “Turon Delight” is the citizens within the perimeter of the
business establishment. Turon Delight is the new generation of one of the best Filipino
desserts, the turon. We will produce an innovation of turon with a twist by making it healthier
and suitable for any age. The primary market includes:
● Citizens within the perimeter of the business like tricycle and motor drivers who
needs good energy to kickoff their job
● Families who are looking for a good place to have a healthy snack
● People of Libertad who are working in the government offices as well as the
unemployed ones who will be looking for easy-to-go snack convenience
12
Competitors and its Advantages and Disadvantages
The competition in the global snack food market is reported to be huge, mostly in here
in the Philippines where a large number of snack food manufacturing companies are
operating to serve the limited population. The following three (3) businesses are the main
competitors of Turon Delight.
● Keepers
This is also located at Centro Este, which offers fruit shakes as well as
fishball, kikiam, and many more street foods. The shake's variety of flavors broaden
its appeal to the customers and keep them interested. On the other hand, others also
sell the same product, just like with their street foods (fishball, kikiam, etc.). There's a
possibility that KEEPERS can lead to less visibility and fewer sales because some
people are still looking for others that are unfamiliar and unique with their taste.
● Food Fiesta
This is located at Centro Weste, Libertad, Antique, near Libertad Central
School, which offers the same snacks as 'Sta. Maria Faceboolan.' The location is very
beneficial to them since it is near the market and tricycle parking. Competitors are
still around, selling snacks the same to them; hence, customers have the tendency to
buy from others if they are not satisfied with the quality of what they are selling.

How Turon Delight will Position Itself to Compete
Turon Delight may not be called an original creation but rather an enhanced creation
of a certain product. Basically, our product originated from a Filipino delicacy, turon - usually
a slice of banana wrapped in a lumpia wrapper and cooked in oil. It contains new ingredients
as a twist than eating just a plain turon. We will surely make it attractable to the sight and
taste of the prospective customers.
We will make promotions showcasing our product and find ways to put it in the
market list of our customers so it will be noticeable to the public. There are two marketing
strategies that the business will follow:
Strategy 1. The first plan will involve producing print advertisement materials to be
distributed and displayed in the streets in all barangays in Libertad, Antique. These materials
will include flyers, banners, and tarpaulins.
Strategy 2. The second plan will take in online marketing. We will post something
creative regarding what Turon Delight is offering on various social media platforms,
including Facebook and Instagram.
Strategy 3. The third plan will involve personal selling. Customers will be persuaded
to purchase a product by personal selling, particularly engaging in casual conversation and
having pleasant interaction.
14
Figure 1. This will serve as the design for the flyers, banners, and tarpaulins, including the
social media post.

How Filipino Value System Affects the Attitudes of Our Target Customers
The value system of Filipinos refers to the set of value systems that a majority of
Filipinos have historically held important in their lives.
Suki System
Suki is the Filipino word for "loyal customer." It is a distinct Filipino value
system with its roots in personal alliance structures centered on business interactions.
Typically, it takes time and numerous business transactions to solidify a relationship,
thus suggesting a suki-like relationship and supporting it with concessions could be
utilized to create trust.
Bahala Na
It is a distinct Filipino value system centered mostly on religion-based
personal alliance networks. This mindset necessitates the individual's bravery in the
face of business problems or uncertainties. "Bahala Na" literally translates as "let God
handle the situation" or "I've done my part, let God handle the rest" or "whatever
occurs, God willed it." "Bahala Na" is not a submission to fate but rather a surrender
to God's will, given the religious nature of the Filipino people.
Pakikisama
Pakikisama, which in its simplest form means "getting along with others," is a
characteristic shared by most Filipinos. Pakikisama necessitates a true, innate
appreciation for togetherness. Group cohesion and cohesiveness are highly prized.
People prefer to fit in rather than to stand out. If development is made, it is for the
benefit of the entire group; nobody should be left behind. It is perceived positively as
group collaboration or solidarity.

Start-up Costs

Materials and Ingredients
18
Monthly Operation Cost
Turon Delight’s estimated monthly operation will cost Php 550.00 for the electricity
and Php 110.00 for the water, which is a total of Php 660.00 a month and Php 7,920.00 in a
year.
Since we are planning to run “Turon Delight” wherein it will be sold at Php 10.00
each, we assume that the fixed cost we need to pay on a yearly basis amounts to Php 7,920.00
which includes all of our expenses like electricity and water bill. Even if our business has no
sales,we are obliged to pay such an amount. If one turon cost Php 5.00 for its ingredients
(variable cost per unit), the break-even quantity would be:
Given:
Fixed Cost: FC = 7,920
Variable Cost: VC = 5x since it will cost him Php 5.00 per turon
19
The revenue is:
R = p ⋅ x = 10x
R = TC
10x = 7,920 + 5x
10x - 5x = 7,920
5x = 7,920
x = 7,920
5
The break-even quantity is 1,584 pcs. of turon delight. This implies that 1,584 pcs. of
turon delight must be sold which is equivalent to Php 15,840.00 to break-even the first year
so that the business will not incur any loss.

Risk that the Business may Encounter
● Economic Risk - The economy is constantly changing as the markets fluctuate. Some
positive changes are suitable for the economy, which lead to booming purchase
environments, while adverse events can reduce business sales.
● Operational Risk - This business risk can happen internally, externally, or involve a
combination of factors. Something could unexpectedly happen that will cause one to
lose business continuity.
● Competition (or Comfort) Risk - While a business may be aware that there is
always some competition in their industry, it is easy to miss out on what businesses
offer that may appeal to your customers.
● To counteract economic risk, our business will save as much money as possible to
maintain a steady cash flow. Also, we will operate with a lean budget with low
overhead through all economic cycles as part of our business plan.
● To counteract operational risk, our business will address each of these potential
operational risks through a business continuity plan to counteract operational risk.
These tactics provide a way to think about what could go wrong and establish a
backup system or proactive measures to ensure operations aren't affected.
● To counteract competition risk, our business will refine its strategy and maintain its
solid interaction with audience and customers to counteract competition risk.
