Check list and Test Procured for LT Panel

1. LT Panels Testing Procedure


Following Test will be carried Out

a) IR Test (Insulation Resistance).


b) High Voltage Test.
c) Electrical & Mechanical Test.

a). LT Panel IR Test


i. Switch power supply breaker to "Open" or "Off" position.
ii. De-energize load side connections.
iii. Isolate all loads associated with bus to be tested.
iv. Disconnect high-voltage sensitive devices and potential transformers from buss to be tested.
v. Record leads lifted and fuses removed on Verification Sheet. Verify that information is correct.
vi. Megger buss work phase-to-phase then phase-to-ground for one minute, until readings are
stable
Phase To Phase R–Y,Y–B,B–R,
Phase To Neutral R–N,Y–N,B–N,
Phase To Earth R – E ,Y – E , B – E ,
Neutral To Earth N –E
vii. Ground and discharge each phase tested.
viii. Connect high voltage sensitive devices and potential transformers.

b). High Voltage Test of LT Panels

i. After IR Test Hi Pot Test is carried on panel.


ii. De-energize load side connections.
iii. Isolate all loads associated with bus to be tested.
iv. Disconnect high-voltage sensitive devices and potential transformers from buss to be tested.
v. Record leads lifted and fuses removed on Verification Sheet. Verify that information is correct.
vi. Inject 2.5 KV AC voltage to phase-to-phase then phase-to-ground for one minute, until readings
are stable
Phase To Phase R–Y,Y–B,B–R,
Phase To Neutral R–N,Y–N,B–N,
Phase To Earth R – E ,Y – E , B – E ,
Neutral To Earth N –E
vii. Record the leakage current of each test.
viii. Ground and discharge each phase tested.
ix. Connect high voltage sensitive devices and potential transformers.
c). Electrical & Mechanical Test
i. Equipment Installation Position & Condition.
ii. Panel flanges & Chamber Cover.
iii. Door Locks & Gasket.
iv. Panel coupling and fish-plate.
v. Busbar Connection & its supports.
vi. Earthing Connection & Continuity.
vii. Nuts / bolts / screws / fasteners are Tight.
viii. Incoming & Outgoing Cable Connection.
ix. Power & Control Wiring Connections.
x. Indication Lamp, Push Button, Selector Switch.
xi. Electrical / Mechanical Interlock Check.
xii. Meter & CT / PT Connection.
xiii. Relay / Protective Devices.
xiv. On/Off Operation of Breaker.

2. Check List for ACB and LT


i. Checking and proper tightening of hardware’s.
ii. Checking of breaker tripping through push button.
iii. Checking motor operation in case of EDO.
iv. Checking of auxiliary contacts continuity proper change overs
v. Checking presence of all circlips.
vi. Checking of Contactor, NO NC Point
vii. Checking of ad on block NO NC Point
viii. Checking of Control Wiring
ix. Checking of Tighten of Equipment’s.

3. Control Wiring:
i. Checking of All Control Wiring
ii. Checking of Contactor in NO/NC Point
iii. Checking of Glass Relay in NO/NC Point
iv. Checking of MCB Terminals
v. Checking of RCCB Terminals
vi. Checking of Contactor Coil Resistance
vii. Checking of auxiliary Contact
viii. Checking of thimble of Terminal
ix. Checking of indicator of Panel
x. Checking selectors switch in NO/NC Point
xi. Checking of TNC Switch in NO/NC Point
xii. Checking of Fuse Link Terminals
xiii. Checking of Timer Relay Terminals
xiv. Checking of Amp Meter Tightening at Terminals
xv. Checking of voltage meter Tightening at Terminals
4. List of Main Resources
The following tools and instruments will be used:

a. Megger (1 KV)
b. TPN MCB (63 A)- 2 Nos
c. Hand Gloves
d. Multimeter
e. Mini Clamp Meter
f. HV Tester (Up to 5KV)

5. Manpower Required
i. Site Engineer/Site supervisor
ii. Safety Officer
iii. QA/QC Engineer
iv. Electrician
v. Helper
