Andrew is the principal of Yarrawonga Santa Gertrudis stud and Yarrawonga Cattle Co in Queensland. With wife
Fiona, and their three children they are continuing to produce the quality that is to be expected of the Yarrawonga
Santa Gertrudis brand.
Being the third generation of Santa Gertrudis breeders who have shown cattle for over 50 years at several royal
shows, Andrew has great experience in the show ring both as a young parader and an experienced exhibitor.

Yarrawonga Santa Gertrudis holds its annual on property bull sale each September, offering up to 200 bulls with
this year’s lineup looking as good as ever. Yarrawonga Cattle Co is focused on a growing commercial herd and
feedlot, currently sending cattle each week to fulfill a Woolworths contract.
Managing a growing herd of more than 10,000 head spread across five properties from Wallumbilla to Jericho, an
eye for quality cattle is imperative.

Andrew has previous judging experiences at Beef in Rockhampton, Brisbane and Sydney Royals and various
country shows.

Ben and his wife Wendy operate the Texas Angus stud in northern NSW.

The family operation strives to breed Angus through a quality controlled program.

They aim to breed no fuss Angus combining calving ease and explosive growth coupled with quality carcase traits
without compromising structure, phenotype and temperament.

The stud made headlines last year when their Sire Shootout entry, Texas Iceman, sold for an Australian Angus
record price at the time of $225,000.

Their 2021 on-property sale also broke a record when it averaged $20,967.

Hannah Powe
British class judge & Interbreed judge

Based in the Central West of NSW, Hannah and her family run Goondoola Livestock, a Red Angus stud and
commercial operation, which is focused on breeding moderate maturity pattern cattle with functionality, longevity,
and fertility.

The family were originally involved in Murray Greys since the 1980s, and currently import outcross genetics from
North America. They select for structural correctness, easy doing ability, good skin and hair type and maternal
strength, and they annually sell bulls through the Invitational Red Angus Bull Sale and Red Angus National Sale, as
well as privately.
Hannah exhibits at the Sydney Royal Show and local shows within her region, as well as supports junior members
and show movements. Her family’s major highlights include exhibiting the 2012 RAS Supreme All Breeds Junior
Heifer and the 2016, 2018, 2019, and 2021 supreme Red Angus exhibits.

Hannah has judged in all states, except Queensland, with the most recent being the 2021 and 2022 Sydney Royal
Show, 2021 Speckle Park Champion of the World and Miss World competitions.

A real standout since a calf and right on track to be the best we’ve ever offered for sale. A bull with terrific loose
skin and fine tropical coat, whilst still sporting a tidy underline. Excellent carcass attributes and scale, with
ample bone and a great top line, he ticks a lot of boxes for commercial and seed stock cattlemen alike. Out of
a standout cow amongst our herd who’s paternal grand sire is the mighty Glenlands Maxamillion, she sired a
bull at the inaugural Carnarvon Classic Sale making $20,000. His sire, Rondel Upstart, gave us an outstanding,
consistent drop of calves before unfortunately losing him to injury. Figjam tested 80% crush-side motility and 75%
morphology at 20 months, he’s extremely active with a high libido, while still of exceptional temperament and a

Blackstone entered in Mt Gambier carcase competition Heavy weight class at 16 months old was 604 kg live, 349
kg hscw and 102 cm ema. Recent semen collection was excellent and semen rights are retained by the breeder.
Blackstone is Polled with scur and sired by Tj Black Duck poll (black) out of Koijak Rae (H) with 45 kg unassisted
birth weight. Koijak Braunvieh started in 1975 using the maternal abilities of Braunvieh milk over Angus cows
which added Polling to the program.
