In England, Christmas is the most important holiday. A month before Christmas, English people go
shopping for clothes and gifts. They buy many things to decorate their houses. They buy pine trees and
put them in the living room. They also buy some Christmas cards.

Some days before Christmas, they set up Christmas cribs in their yards or in front of their houses. At
Christmas, there are a lot of activities. People send Christmas cards and gifts to their relatives and
friends. They invite neighbors to their house to have dinner. For dinner, they have roast turkey and
champaign. They are delicious.

On Christmas night, Santa Claus rides his sleigh around the world. His reindeer carry the sleigh. Santa
Claus goes to every house. He climbs through the chimney. He put gifts in stockings near the fireplace.
In the morning, when chhildren get up, they receive the presents.
