1. The main purpose the article is to investigate challenges facing public service leaders to
become transformational leaders and assesses the components of transformational
leadership style that leaders of public service organizations are missing in Ethiopian and
focusing on evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of the reform programs. Or, to
assess the relationship between transformational leadership and organizational
performance in Ethiopian public service organizations.
2. The central argument of the article is addressing the leadership problems that had existed
in the country for many years by significant policy changes and introducing
transformational leadership in Ethiopia.
3. Leadership is conceptualized as showing the character/behavior of transformational
leader in bringing effectiveness in organizational performance.

4. Major ideas, or core issues are:-


 Theories and characteristics of transformational leadership such as Idealized
Influence, Inspiration, motivation, Intellectual stimulation and Individual
consideration.
 Importance and components of transformational leader ship.
 Challenges of public services reform programs and organizational transformations.
5. The research methods adopted in this article are:
 Research design/ descriptive quantitative survey and qualitative approach to
triangulate the quantitative data.
 Data is collected using the following instruments i.e., Questionnaire, Interview,
observation.
6. Strengths and weakness
Strengths
 Asses major problems related to transformational leadership in different part of
Ethiopia.
 List some possible solution for the problem of leadership.
 Good sampling technique
 Brief interpretation of quantitative data.
Weakness
 Statement of the problem is very wide
 The major finding of the research is not put in the conclusion.
7. Some lessons that I learned in writing scientific research are
   Establish a clear research focus and small goals
 Ask for help and embrace comments from your colleagues
 Paper writing is a skill that has to be trained
 Keep it short and simple
 Know your audience
 Don’t look for perfection
